Hi Edmond
You'd be able to use the copy without any problems, but you won't be able to rank for it specifically. If that's not an issue, then read on.
What I would do is add a canonical tag on your page back to the original press release. You can read up on canonical tags here in this Moz guide.
So say the press release is at this URL: http://www.pressreleasecompany.com/yourpressrelease
You can take the press release and publish it on your own page, such as: http://www.yourdomain.com/yourpressrelease
On your webpage, you would need to have the following code in the section of your HTML:
rel="canonical" href="http://www.pressreleasecompany.com/yourpressrelease" />
With that bit of code, you are letting Google know that you have taken the press release from elsewhere and that the original copy can be found there. You are using the copy just to feature and add user experience to your website, and not to try and rank for any terms.
Google will acknowledge the tag and will not penalise you (or reward you) for using the duplicate copy. I think it's also a good idea to include a brief introduction to where the press release came from and what it is about before using the copy, just to show that you are citing your source.
With those steps, you will be fine in mentioning external press releases about your company on your own site without risking being penalised. Always a good idea not to overdo it, but with the canonical tag you won't be seen as duplicating content for nefarious or ranking means.
Hope this helps.

We're looking for a way to automate content tagging on our site with a pre-existing solution/software/tool. This is mainly for content organization and to better establish internal linking connections for a large site. We work with Adobe Creative Suite.

Filling Up Content For A New News Publishing Site
Hello, SEO Gurus. I have a client whom I've been working with for a few months now, and part of our service offering is to publish and promote fresh, daily content on his site's blog. This strategy has been a huge success thus far, he is very happy with the content, etc. Now, he is getting ready to launch a second site, which will be a news publishing site for his industry niche, and we will once again be providing the content on a daily basis: we're going to be producing 10 to 15 articles a day. It's a big operation for us. The client, however, is concerned that he doesn't want the site to appear "thin" on content in the early going, and asked if it would be possible to populate the new site with the articles we wrote on the other site's blog. My gut reaction to this is that it would be an exceedingly bad idea to do this. While we are the ones who authored the original content (and we've used author tags and publishing markup), the best bet is to simply start fresh. Besides that, seeing as we'll be pumping out tons of content on a daily basis, it won't take long to fill up the content coffers. That being said, I just wanted to run this past you all and see if anyone had any alternative ideas on how to use the old content without it being duplicate content. I was thinking that maybe designating all of the old articles with noindex, nofollow could be an option? Many thanks in advance for your time and attention. Sincerely, Mike

Rel=publisher vs G+ badge without
I've read that I should only have a rel="publisher" once on my site (on the home page) in a link that points back to the corporate G+ page. Cool. But, if I want to have a link to the corporate G+ page in the footer of every other page on the site then I assume it's okay as long as I omit the rel="publisher" part, correct? Second question: For blog postings, I assume it's good to include a rel="author" tag in the link to the author's G+ page, right? Even though there is a link to the corporate G+ page in the footer of the same page.

Does this count as Copied Content ?
Hi, we are publishing news on our website blog. In the news we use excerpts from other websites but do mention the source like "according to XYZ news source" etc. Does it count as copied content as sometime copyscape shows alsmot 30% duplicated content due to inclusion of references from different sources in our news stories ? Can free article sites damage my reputation
Hi i have been submitting a lot of fresh articles on free article sites and they have been picked up which is good but my problem is, i am finding loads of these sites who have picked up my article using some sort of article rewrite programme and my articles look like they have now been written by a two year old. I want to know if this is going to spoil my reputation and i would like to know why people use these programmes when they do not even make sense.
