Moz & Other Sites Not Showing in Link Profile?
-
I'm curious to know why Moz, YouTube, G+ and some other links are not showing the OSE link profile as NOFOLLOW or DOFOLLOW for our website whiteboardcreations.com? When doing analysis, we see a lot of companies YouTube pages with their NF link and G+ page links and even see a lot of the Moz community members with their Profile pages showing the NF link or the DF links.
I'm confused as to why OSE is not picking up any of our links from those respective sites. Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance. - Patrick

That is great to hear, Keri! You are right. They are showing for Google, so ultimately, that is what is important

It could be some of each. I know it's frustrating when you don't see those links that you know are there, but the good news is that Google does see them. The good news is that we're getting indexes out there faster than we ever did before, so it's every 1-2 weeks these days instead of 4-6 weeks.

Keri, I was able to check GWT and yes, my Moz and YouTube links are showing as being indexed. I appreciate you providing that tip.
Since Moz has it's own PA/DA algo, is not having my Moz and YouTube links a part of our link profile putting us at a disadvantage in regards to those figures/statistics to potentially help our PA/DA? Or let me know if this is just a "timing" thing whereby Moz hasn't crawled all the pages and found our links? Thanks. Sorry for being a pain. - Patrick

The important metrics is actually do the search engines see the link. Whether or not we see the link doesn't help your ranking. It could be that those pages with the links just have low PA and don't have much linking to them, so they don't get crawled. I'd look in Google and Bing Webmaster Tools and see if the links display there.

Thanks for the follow up, Keri. I am a Pro Member with 300+ points, so I know my DF link began appearing over a month ago, but doesn't show in our link profile. I see some other members who have less than 200 and shows their NF link. It's odd as we never saw our NF link either from Moz.
Per the G+ and YouTube, I ask about this because when viewing our competitors and our clients competitors, we do see OSE index YouTube pages with their NF links, but again, our YouTube page is not indexed. I don't think I have seen any G+ links yet, though or Twitter, so not too concerned with those as I understand your budget constraints. Could something be hindering that?
I hope that is a little more helpful since I am a Moz Pro 300+ point member so a DF link should appear in the link profile and we do have a YouTube page with a link to our site, which should also appear in the link analysis? I guess, I curious to know if because they are not showing in OSE, is our DA/PA adversely affected?
Thanks again for your reply and let me know what you think. - Patrick

If the question is about the link not showing up at all, it's because we don't quite have the same budget for servers as Google and Bing have, and we don't crawl as many URLs as they do. We could crawl YouTube, G+ and Twitter extensively..or we could try to crawl the rest of the web, but not both.
Or is your question that we are not showing correctly whether a link has a nofollow attribute?
For Moz community members, people with over 200 Mozpoints get one followed link, and the rest have a nofollow. For those with fewer than 200 Mozpoints, all of their outgoing links are nofollowed.

Moz tool to estimate a website's organic traffic?
Moz has tons of great tools, so I was quite suprised there is nothing similar to Alexa's siteinfo tool, or SimilarWeb's site comparison tool. Am I missing something? Or does such a tool exists at Moz? Or is there a different way of estimating my competitor's traffic? It would be great if Moz would have something like that.

Doubt Regarding Moz Spam Score
My website is https://www.whatiscbd.com/ . When I check spam score of whatiscbd.com, moz show that its spam score is 9. And when i search spam score of www.whatiscbd.com, spam score is 0. Although both are same website. Why i am getting such issue. Is there any issue in my website's URL redirection. If yes then what's the issue?

How to download full list of internal links properly with OSE?
Hi Moz Community, I am having issues getting a full list of my internal links when I go to the Open Site Explorer. When I export the internal links into excel, I am getting half of my URLs and 80% of what I am getting is absolutely crazy URLs that are super super old. Plus, these old URLs are not even showing in my campaign crawls. So the crawls themselves are different. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, since I am trying to get a full picture on the internal link structure of my site. Thanks!

Drop in DA and PA and lost a load of links
Hi Mozzers, I just check a site in OSE and while the inbound domains are up the total links have dropped and therefore DA and PA. How can I find which links have gone. I'm assuming a domain passing 1000's of links has either gone down or broken the link - can I use the ISE tool to fine which links have been recently broken? I know there is just discovered for new links. If not can you recommend a tool please. Thanks

Open Site Explorer Messge - Mysite.com redirects to www.mysite.com
Hello All, When I plug in my site's URL http://mysite.com ( Not my actual URL of-course) into the OpenSiteExplorer tool I get the following message: "You entered the URL http://Mysite.com which redirects to http://www.Mysite.com/.

Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead.
Click here to analyze http://Mysite.com instead?" Not sure why I am getting this message. On my hosting server, I have defined my preferred domain to be the non-www. version. I have also used a Canonical Tag on Mysite.com/index.html file ( ). In addition, on Google Search Console ( Webmaster Tools ) , I have added both the www. and non-www. properties, where on both property settings, I have defined the non-www. version as my preferred one. Also, on my server, I have not implemented any 301 redirects at all. So my questions are: Why am I receiving this message when plugging in my non-www. URL version of my website into OpenSiteExplorer? Is my DA or PA possibly being split up between the two versions as a result? Should I be concerned? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.0 -
Open Site Explorer Top Pages https Title tag issue
Hello, everybody. I've noticed this strange thing in Top Pages reporting of Open Site Explorer. If i do a report for any website which doesn't have security certificate installed, such as http://www.hyperlinksmedia.com I get normal results, with title tag shown for every page, but, if i do a report for website with Security certificate, such as https://www.hyperlinksmedia.com, report is coming back for non-secure URL version (http:...), so, it says "No Title" for any pages. I wonder, if it influence PA and DA scores. Although, if i run full crawl test, then i shows all meta and title tags for SSL version of a website's url. Thanks!

Is there some way to tell the Moz crawler not to crawl URL's with particular dynamic tags such as "?redirect-to:http//" ?
We are encountering an issue where the crawler is finding a ton of pages from our wordpress login url that has this dynamic tag in it to kinds of different blog entries. It's madness. I can't figure out what is causing these URLs to generate to be crawled in the first place! Does this sound familiar to anyone out there, any constructive suggestions? Robots text or maybe meta robots tags that would resolve this crawl issue?

Why won't Open Site Explorer detect inbound links from big name websites?
I understand smaller, spammy sites woudn't get indexed, but some of the websites linking to mine have high domain authorities. The website is a parked subdomain.
