Brand domain not in 1st page
-
Hi,
I've made an e-commerce (drsebagh.it) for the italian division of the brand Dr Sebagh. Now if I search the brand query on google.it (https://www.google.it/search?q=dr+sebagh&oq=dr+sebagh&aqs=chrome.0.69i59l3j0l3.1352j0j4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8) the site is around the 3rd serp. I can't find where problems are. No duplicate content (as my client says and Copyscape Free seems to confirm that) also Webmaster Tools doesn't signal errors... Can someone helps me to do a quickly check?

Hey Alessio,
Few things to consider
- Domain Authority is low. Love to see few more back-links (Just 4 Links at moment)
- Meta Description of Home Page is too short. It should be around 100 to 160 Characters. Run Moz Audit and check other pages as well
- Love to see more social shares. Try to share your pages on Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook. Use tags to get pages shared by others
This will help!

I don't think this is a surprise. Just because you know you're the Brand's Italian site, doesn't automatically mean you're going to rank for your brand name in Italy!
As your site is new, it doesn't have any authority (it has no link profile to speak of). A link from the .com site would be a nice first step!
This is why it can be beneficial to have multi-lingual content on the main, parent site so that you can benefit from their domain authority.
Think about how you can undertake some out-reach/promote the new Italian division site in order to build some authentic back links and raise awareness of the site.

301 Old Domain Name with relevant domain name
We have a number of historical domain names that we are thinking of 301 redirecting to industry relevant domains.

Currently the domains we wish to redirect are not active and have been down since march 2018.
As far as we know there is no bad reputation on these domains, but we think there are still links out there in the wild on possibly relevant blog posts. Would there be any negative affect on the target domain? Thanks0 -

Old Redirected Domain is replacing my current domain on SERPs
Hello everyone, All of a sudden a 2 year old redirected domain is replacing my current domain for 2 weeks now, my site is apitus.com and my old domain is aptitus.pe (the redirect is still working), however this only happens on my country google results (google.com.pe), if you check my site on google.com, everything looks ok even with a sitelink, which I no longer have on my country search results. Back to the issue, the first thing I thought was go to Search Console and take it out from the index, so I asked for access by uploading a file but since everything on that old site redirects to my current site I can't make such action. While still waiting for such access, is there anything else I could do?. Thanks in advance. PD: I'm adding the images of my SERPs CmzN8kY G3zZwwj

Crawl Test Report only shows home page and no inner site pages?
Hi, My site is [removed] When I first tried to set up a new campaign for the site, I received the error: Roger has detected a problem: We have detected that the root domain [removed] does not respond to web requests. Using this domain, we will be unable to crawl your site or present accurate SERP information. I then ran a Crawl Test per the FAQ. The SEOmoz crawl report only shows my home page URL and does not have any inner site pages. This is a Joomla site. What is the problem? Thanks! Dave

Duplicate page content
Hello, My site is being checked for errors by the PRO dashboard thing you get here and some odd duplicate content errors have appeared. Every page has a duplicate because you can see the page and the page/~username so... www.short-hairstyles.com is the same as www.short-hairstyles.com/~wwwshor I don't know if this is a problem or how the crawler found this (i'm sure I have never linked to it). But I'd like to know how to prevent it in case it is a problem if anyone knows please? Ian

Handling 301s: Multiple pages to a single page (consolidation)
Been scouring the interwebs and haven't found much information on redirecting two serparate pages to a single new page. Â Here is what it boils down to: Let's say a website has two pages, both with good page authority of products that are becoming fazed out. Â The products, Widget A and Widget B, are still popular search terms, but they are being combined into ONE product, Widget C. Â While Widget A and Widget B STILL have plenty to do with Widget C, Widget C is now the new page, the main focus page, and the page you want everyone to see and Google to recognize. Now, do I 301 Widget A and Widget B pages to Widget C, ALTHOUGH Widgets A and B previously had nothing to do with one another? Â (Remember, we want to try and keep some of that authority the two page have had.) OR do we keep Widget A and Widget B pages "alive", take them off the main navigation, and then put a "disclaimer" on the pages announcing they are now part of Widget C and link to Widget C? OR Should Widgets A and B page be canonicalized to Widget C? Again, keep in mind, widgets A and B previously were not similar, but NOW they are and result in Widget C. (If you are confused, we can provide a REAL work example of what we are talkinga about, but decided to not be specific to our industry for this.) Appreciate any and all thoughts on this.

Does page speed affect what pages are in the index?
We have around 1.3m total pages, Google currently crawls on average 87k a day and our average page load is 1.7 seconds.  Out of those 1.3m pages(1.2m being "spun up") google has only indexed around 368k and our SEO person is telling us that if we speed up the pages they will crawl the pages more and thus will index more of them. I personally don't believe this. At 87k pages a day Google has crawled our entire site in 2 weeks so they should have all of our pages in their DB by now and I think they are not index because they are poorly generated pages and it has nothing to do with the speed of the pages.  Am I correct?  Would speeding up the pages make Google crawl them faster and thus get more pages indexed?

Duplicate Page Content and Title for product pages. Is there a way to fix it?
We we're doing pretty good with our SEO, until we added product listing pages. The errors are mostly Duplicate Page Content/Title. e.g. Title: Masterpet | New Zealand Products MasterPet Product page1 MasterPet Product page2 Because the list of products are displayed on several pages, the crawler detects that these two URLs have the same title. From 0 Errors two weeks ago, to 14k+ errors. Is this something we could fix or bother fixing? Will our SERP ranking suffer because of this? Hoping someone could shed some light on this issue. Thanks.
