IP Location at a glance - Moz toolbar
-
I am using the latest version of the moz toolbar in my firefox browser.
The IP location feature is not working for me as demonstrated in the article.
"You will now notice a new button with a flag that shows up in the toolbar as you surf the web. This new toolbar addition shows the country where this site is hosted. Click on the flag to see more details about the location and IP address. If you want to learn more, click on the IP to access WhoIs information."
My flag icon is depressed and looks like a US flag, even when I browse European sites. Also, I never see the location nor IP address of other sites.
Am I missing a step or is the tool not working correctly?

okay - that is rather pants!
Need to shout and stamp until they fix it! :O)
-
Seems SEOmoz is adding an unnecessary http at the start of both our links
-
Barry's URL for Flagfox is screwy - should be : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flagfox/
-
If you're struggling until they fix it you can use Flagfox.

The tool is not working correctly because I'm having the same problem with two different computers. Both running Firefox 4.0.1, Win7 and OSX Snow Leopard. Australian and European domains show the USA flag.

Are there any strategies (Moz-specific or other) on how to improve the Total Links metric against competitors?
In competitive link metrics, our client is doing very well in every metric against every competitor except in Total Links against one competitor in particular. Wondering how to improve this metric against this one competitor. Any strategies, whether MOZ-specific or other that can boost this metric? Thanks.

Does Moz have any tools to see the amount of traffic certain keywords bring us in search? Does anyone know any tools that give the actual traffic numbers?
We're looking for numerical data on the amount of traffic that keywords receive, regardless of their rank in Moz. Thanks!

Since July 1, we've had a HUGE jump in errors on our weekly crawl. We don't think anything has changed on our website. Has MOZ changed something that would account for a large leap in duplicate content and duplicate title errors?
Our error report went from 1,900 to 18,000 in one swoop, starting right around the first of July. The errors are duplicate content and duplicate title, as if it does not see our 301 redirects. Any insights?

Ignore Moz Notices?
Hi All, I read an old post (2011) about ignoring rel canonical notices from Moz. I wondered why they can be ignored? The thing is, it's showing a bunch of rel canonical errors for my pages but I know I have the tag right. At the risk of being offensive.. can the notices be ignored because the Moz data is erroneous? I'm not sure what to make of this. Thanks!

SEO Moz Rank Report
Anyone else noticing the rank reporting seems to be off? My reports are showing "not in top 50" for some keywords that my site is on page one for. Not in places listings either because I know that can throw things off! Anyone?

Semoz Toolbar
Hi, I had a problem with too many links on a page and I tryed to replace the navigation with one that reloads the subnavigation with ajax to lower the amount of links. After that I used the seomoz toolbar to check the result. And also this tool: http://linkcounter.submitexpress.com/ Linkcounter showed the correct amount (lowered by the number of links hidden with ajax) but the Seomoz-Toolbar showed still the same number as before. Now I am wondering: Does the Seomoz-Toolbar needs time to check the content or does ist just count all links no matter if they are hidden or not. And most important: Does Google counts the ajax Links also? Thanks!

Which Moz Rank and I'm seeing External or both external and internal?
I found this on the MOZ site. It confused me. "Whereas MozRank measures the link juice (ranking power) of both internal and external links, external MozRank measures only the amount of mozRank flowing through external links (links located on a separate domain). Because external links can play an important role as independent endorsements, external mozRank is an important metric for predicting search engine rankings." In the tool bar and other places in Moz am I seeing the combo Internal or the External and how do I get to each? Maybe I'm just reading this wrong. 🙂
