Need help with Google Webmaster Tools Errors
-
I have a lots of error on my Google webmaster tools under Search Appearance -> Structure Data
there are two sets of items
1- "hentry" and source is "Markup: microformats.org" and error says: "Missing: author | Missing: updated"
2-"hcard" and source is "Markup: microformats.org" and error says: "Missing: fn"
I am using WordPress.
Can anybody tell me how to fix these errors please.
Thank you

Id probably go this route for a simple solve. I believe you would want to remove or disable the current handicapped markup.

thank you
do you know what wordpress plugins can solve this issue

you would need to edit the single.php file.
look for:
<span < code="">
class=
"post_date">`'j F,Y'
); ?>`change it to:
<span < code="">
class=
"post_date date updated">`'j F,Y'
); ?>then for author look for:
</span <>``</span <>````<span < code="">
class``=``"theauthor"``>
</span <>``or<span < code="">
class``=``"theauthor"``></span <>``change to:
<span < code="">class``=``"vcard author"``>
<span < code="">
class``=``"fn"``>`or
<span < code="">
class=
"fn"``></span <>
</span <>`</span <>`````
preferably you would copy the existing parent themes single.php file into a child theme and make the edit there/e I should mention that it is common for theme creators to abstract out these functions into less comprehensible formats like this entry from the Avada theme:
| Personally either way I dont bother to fix these particular "errors". But that is mostly because authorship markup ranks nil in regard to what I am up to.Your other option is to delete or comment out the existing related markup and write new or utilize one of many plugins that will address this particular issue.````

Should I care about this Webmaster Tools Message
Here is the message: "Googlebot found an extremely high number of URLs on your site: http://www.uncommongoods.com/" Should i try to do anything about this? We are not having any indexation issues so we think Google is still crawling our whole site. What could be some possible repercussions of ignoring this? Thanks Mozzers! -Zack

Why is my servers ip address showing up in Webmaster Tools?
In links to my site in Google Webmaster Tools I am showing over 28,000 links from an ip address. The ip address is the address that my server is hosted on. For example it shows 200.100.100.100/help, almost like there are two copies of my site, one under the domain name and one under the ip address. Is this bad? Or is it just showing up there and Google knows that it is the same since the ip and domain are from the same server?

Access denied errors in webmaster tools
I notice today Ihave 2 access denied errors. I checked the help which says: Googlebot couldn’t access a URL on your site because your site requires users to log in to view all or some of your content. (Tip: You can get around this by removing this requirement for user-agent Googlebot.) Therefore I think it may be because I have added a login page for users and googlebot can't access it. I'm using wordpress and presume I need to amend the robots.txt to remove the requirement for google to log in but how do I do that? Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem altogether!

Crawl errors in GWT!
I have been seeing a large number of access denied and not found crawl errors. I have since fixed the issued causing these errors; however, I am still seeing the in webmaster tools. At first I thought the data was outdated, but the data is tracked on a daily basis! Does anyone have experience with this? Does GWT really re-crawl all those pages/links everyday to see if the errors still exist? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Wordtracker vs Google Keyword Tool
When I find keyword opportunities in Wordtracker, I'll sometimes run them through Adwords Keyword tool only to find that Google says these keywords have 0 search volume. Would you use these keywords even though Google says users aren't searching for them?

How do I get rid of all the 404 errors in google webmaster tools after building a new website under the same domiain
I recently launched my new website under the same domain as the old one. I did all the important 301 redirects but it seems like every url that was in google index is still their but now with a 404 error code. How can I get rid of this problem? For example if you google my company name 'romancing diamonds' half the link under the name are 404 errors. Look at my webmaster tools and you'll see the same thing. Is their anyway to remove all those previous url's from google's indexes and start anew? Shawn
