I'm Getting Attacked, What Can I Do?

I recently noticed a jump in my Crawl Errors in Google Webmaster Tools.
Upon further investigation I found hundreds of the most spammy web pages I've ever seen pointing to my domain (although all going to 404 errors):

http://lenitsky.wordpress.com/
These are all created within the last week.
A. What the hell is going on?
B. Should I be very concerned? (because they are 404 errors)
C. What should my next steps be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To expound on what Jane said, I would actually rewrite the headers of these pages to a 410 status code. That way they will drop out of the ranking quicker. http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2340728/Matt-Cutts-on-How-Google-Handles-404-410-Status-Codes

I see you have deleted the malicious pages appearing on your website - they now return 404 server responses. Unfortunately Google still has several of these pages indexed: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cleanedison.com+%22cialis%22&oq=cleanedison.com+%22cialis%22&aqs=chrome..69i57.1741j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=91&ie=UTF-8
It should not take long for these URLs to drop out of the index. When these spam links point to 404 pages, they should not damage your domain but if you see negative rankings movements, the disavow tool is a good option. It can also be used pre-emptively if you are particularly concerned about the volume of these pam links coming in.

I'm not so sure I'd jump to the conclusion you've been hacked so quickly (as a few other answers have mentioned). You just have bad backlinks pointing at your site, right? No pages have been created ON your website that you did not allow correct?
If so, it does sound like some sort of negative SEO link building. Be hard to tell how/why they were built without a big analysis - but anyhow - you can disavow them. But I would also look deeper into why they have happened to begin with. Could it be a competitor or someone who has decided to make enemies with you?

As Chris H said, your site has been hacked. Your WordPress blog is terribly out of date. There are a few blog plugins that are out of date.
Who do you know that are allowed to access the blog? I have four users listed. I'm guessing admin has been compromised.

My first step would be to start disavowing all of the links in Google before you get a penalty. It is a pain, but it is worth it compared to getting dropped out of the SERP's.

Spam signals from old company site are hurting new company site, but we can't undo the redirect.
My client was forced to change its domain name last year (long story). We were largely able to regain our organic rankings via 301-redirects. Recently, the rankings for the new domain have begun to plummet. Nothing specific took place that could have caused any ranking declines on the new site. However, when we analyze links to the OLD site, we are seeing a lot of link spam being built to that old domain over recent weeks and months. We have no idea where these are coming from but they appear to be negatively impacting our new site. We cannot dismantle the redirects as the old site has hundreds, if not thousands, of quality links pointing to it, and many customers are accustomed to going to that home page. So those redirects need to stay in place. We have already disavowed all the spam we have found on the old Search Console. We are continuing to do so as we find new spam links. But what are we supposed to do about this spam negatively impacting our new site? FYI we have not received any messages in the search console.

Malicious bot attack?
Several of our websites have experienced a major direct load traffic spike in the last 30 days - roughly 40K new visitors for each site. The bots are emulating IE9 and appear to be hitting our home page and bouncing 100% of the time. The traffic is double our usual volume, or more. Our bounce rates, conversion rate, page views, etc have suffered accordingly. The volume hasn't affected site performance, yet. Since the traffic is direct load, I can't see this being a negative SEO attack. Plus, our search visibility for everything but our brands is abysmal - there aren't any real rankings to tank. Our engineers are saying that the IP addresses are diverse, and they aren't seeing any pattern. I also checked GA for traffic locations, and we aren't seeing anything unusual from overseas.It appears that the attack is US based. Has anyone seen this before?

Why isn't Moz recognizing meta description tags using SLIM?
Hey All, I keep getting reports from Moz that many of my pages are missing meta description tags. We use SLIM for our website, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue getting Moz to recognize that the meta descriptions exist. We have a default layout that we incorporate into every page on our site. In the head of that layout, we've included our meta description parameters: meta description ='#{current_page.data.description}' Then each page has its own description, which is recognized by the source code http://fast.customer.io/s/viewsourcelocalhost4567_20140519_154013_20140519_154149.png Any ideas why Moz still isn't recognizing that we have meta descriptions? -Nora, Customer.io

Being Link Attacked - Should I worry?
Hey, Hope everyone is well. Just a quick question. I hope to get an answer from Google officially (I've asked in their webmaster forums area) but any experience or opinions from the community here would be great. I noticed recently that our site started to get thousands of links from comments in random blogs from all across the web. This is nothing to do with us as we don't "build links". I can only assume it is a competitor trying to get our site hit by the algorithm for a particular search term, as all the anchor text (I estimate about 1,800 links with this anchor text) point to one page on our site that is ranking for that term. I recently removed the website from webmaster tools and re added, due to an unrelated issue about the a video rich snippet not updating, and all the links have just popped up today on there. Is this something I need to worry about? and should I start collecting all these domains and using the disavow tool to block the whole domain of these sites with the comments (some of them seem like genuine sites). There seem to be new ones everyday and it looks to be an ongoing attack as well. Thanks in advance!

Creating duplicate site for testing purpose. Can it hurt original site
Hello, We are soon going to upgrade the cms to latest version along with new functionlaities - the process may take anywhere from 4 week to 6 weeks. may suggest - we need to work on live server, what we have planned take exact replica of site and move to a test domain, but on live server Block Google, Bing, Yahoo - User-agent: Google Disallow: / , User-agent: Bing Disallow: / User-agent: Yahoo Disallow: / in robots.txt Will upgrade CMS and add functionality - will test the entire structure, check url using screaming frog or xenu and move on to configure the site on original domain The process upgradation and new tools may take 1 - 1.5 month.... Concern is that despite blocking Google, Bing & Yahoo through User agent disallow - can still the url can be crawled by the search engines - if yes - it may hurt the original site as will read on as entire duplicate or is there any alternate way around.. Can someone hep me and charge for it on writing a letter to google reconsideration in native english? I did everything on this last year to respect google guidelines, and i as site owner always did on generating good content and usability to my site althoung a seo company had generate unnutural links that i manage to remove almost of them. i did all and more contacting webmasters to solve it. HELP! My client got a DDOS Attack! Need advice
Here the setup: Server is hosted inhouse. It got attacked using a DDOS from 20+ IP addresses spoofing in different counries. Our server overloaded and didn't work anymore. URL is registered at GoDaddy. Signed up at Dreamhost. We pointed DNS to Dreamhost successfully. Attacks kept coming and messed up other sites on the Dreamhost shared server. We didn't know we were being followed at first. We originally thought they were attacking the IP address on our inhouse server. Dreamhost noticed the attack and put us on a seperate IP and disabled our URL until the attacks 'stopped'. MY QUESTION IS: What do I do if they don't stop? Close shop? 99% of the business is internet driven. This has to be the blackest Blackhat SEO ever.
