4xx fix

Hi
I have quite a lot of 4xx errors on our site. The 4xx occurred because I cleaned poor URLs that had commas etc in them so its the old URLs that now 4xx. There are no links to the URLs that 4xx.What is the best way of rectifying this issue of my own making?!

No, I would recommend that you fix the underlying issue. I can see from your sitemap that you still have the URL's with commas in.
Personally I would use screamingfrog.co.uk to find your crawl errors as you will not need to wait a week for the next report.

I was waiting for the next crawl as I thought the 4xx would be removed from the crawl diagnostics, however I received a new crawl report today and they are still listed in the report.
I think the simplest way to remove the 4xx would be to create 301s for the URLs. Would you agree? -
So since you tidied the URL's has moz crawled your site again or are you waiting for the next crawl?

Where are you seeing the errors being reported? If you have corrected the problem with the error URL's and there are no links to theses URL's then there should not be a problem.
If however you are seeing theses URL's in the search results then yes a 301 redirect would be appropriate.

What is best practice for fixing urls that have duplicate content, non-static and other issues?
Hi, I know there are several good answers regarding duplicate content issues on this website already, however I have a question that involves the best way to avoid negative SEO impacts if I change the urls for an ecommerce site. Basically a new client has the following website http://www.gardenbeauty.co.uk and I notice that it suffers from duplicate content due to the http://www version and the non www version of the pages - this seems quite easy to fix using the guidance on this website. However I notice that the product page urls are far from ideal in that they have several issues including:- (a) they are mostly too long (b) don't include the keyword terms (in terms of best practice) (c) they don't use Static URLS An example of one these product urls would be http://www.gardenbeauty.co.uk/plant-details.php?name=Autumn Glory&p_genus=Hebe&code=heagl&category=hebe I'd like to address these issues, but the pages rank highly for the products themselves, therefore my question is what would you recommend I do to fix the urls without risking the high positions that many of these product pages have? thanks, Ben

20 000 duplicates in Moz crawl due to Joomla URL parameters. How to fix?
We have a problem of massive duplicate content in Joomla. Here is an example of the "base" URL: http://www.binary-options.biz/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html For some reason Joomla creates many versions of this URL, for example: http://www.binary-options.biz/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html or http://www.binary-options.biz/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html?q=/index.php/Web-Pages/binary-options-platforms.html So it lists the URL parameter ?q= and then repeats part of the beforegoing URL. How to fix errors and warnings on a wordpress.com hosted site ?
Hello Mozers, I've 18 4xx errors ,812 duplicate page content and 412 duplicate page titles with about 605 too many links warning and about 4900 notices.. My website is hosted on wordpress.com and I just do not understand how do i fix these errors . To add on, last week the errors were lesser by 150 !! How do I get these issues fixed ? How to fix broken links?
Hi, I use WordPress CMS with Yoast SEO plugin. I have just found out that my 403 errors increased dramatically. It seems that all my tags below of each post are being broken for some reason. When i click on the tags i get the following massage: **403 Forbidden Request forbidden by administrative rules. ** I assume it has something to do with the configuration within Yoast SEO plugin. Fixing a website redirect situation that resulted in drop in traffic
Hi, I'm trying to help someone fix the following situation: they had a website, www.domain.com, that was generating a steady amount of traffic for three years. They then redesigned the website a couple of months ago, and the website developer redirected the site to domain.com but did not set up analytics on domain.com. We noticed that there was a drop in traffic to www.domain.com but have no idea if domain.com is generating any traffic since analytics wasn't installed. To fix this situation, I was going to find out from the developer if there was a good reason to redirect the site. What would have prompted the developer to do this if www.domain.com had been used already for three years? Then, unless there was a good reason, I would change the redirect back to what it was before - domain.com redirecting to www.domain.com. Presumably this would allow us to regain the traffic to the site www.domain.com that was lost when the redirect was put in place. Does this sound like a reasonable course of action? Is there anything that I'm missing, or anything else that I should do in this situation? Thanks in advance! Carolina

Error msg 'Duplicate Page Content', how to fix?
Hey guys, I'm new to SEO and have the following error msg 'Duplicate Page Content'. Of course I know what it means, but my question is how do you delete the old pages that has duplicate content? I use to run my website through Joomla! but have since moved to Shopify. I see that the duplicated site content is still from the old Joomla! site and I would like to learn how to delete this content (or best practice in this situation). Any advice would be very helpful! How to Fix Duplicate Content Issue of Manufacturer Details Paragraph?
I am surviving with Google's crawling issue. Google had not index my product pages yet. I have Google a lot and read too many articles to get it done. But, I did not get satisfy answer with it. I just checked my product pages and found that: There is one tab with Manufacturers Details containing one paragraph. This content is available on too many product pages with same manufacturer.
