How do I get rid of my errors for Schema.org?
-
I put the Schema.org data on my item pages and it works great. However, when an item closes it removes the price. It showed an empty price and that causes an error. The site is now programmed to where if an item closes it removes the price component. This was done about 2 weeks ago and it is still showing a lot of errors. Any ideas?

I did exactly what you said but now I am running into this posted above-
Yeah, Google Webmaster Tools is where I found the errors. When I implemented Schema it showed me with about 35,000 items, and about 9000 errors. I came in today and now my errors are almost gone, down to 600 but my total items dropped to 1600. I checked to see if any other code was removed and it wasn't, and ran the Bing Webmaster Tools Validator and it shows everything is correct. Why that drop?

The schema supports that, but at the same time I do not think google supports it. If it were me, what I would do is have the offer information in a div around the price. Then when a product was sold I would remove the div so that the product information stayed, but the offer was removed. If you look at the google product rich snippet documentation it says that it only supports a floating point number for price and not text. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/146750?hl=en
Alternatively the website could be set to leave the price and use the availability identifier.

Your Offer needs to update the "price" property to sold. This property field can be either text or number.

Have you looked in your webmaster tools dashboard for this site? It has a section structured data in your website and shows exactly which structured data has been picked up? Or are the errors showing up there?

Getting SEO Juice back after Redirect
Hi, On my website, many product pages were redirected over time to its product category, due to the product being unavailable. I understand with a 301 redirect, the final URL would have lost about 15% of the link juice. However - if after some time (e.g. 2 months, or 1 year) I remove the redirection - is the original page going to have any SEO juice, or did it already lose all of it? Thanks,

Why some pages show schema and some don't in Google?
I notice Google displays the schema(reviews, price, availability etc.) in results only for some of our item pages in same category using same template. Any ideas why this is happening. They are created around same time - more than a year ago. Schema was also added a year ago.

How to Set Up Canonical Tags to Eliminate Duplicate Content Error
Google Webmaster Tools under HTML improvements is showing duplicate meta descriptions for 2 similar pages. The 2 pages are for building address. The URL has several pages because there are multiple property listings for this building. The URLs in question are: www.metro-manhattan.com/601-west-26th-street-starrett-lehigh-building-contains-executive-office-space-manhattan/page/3 www.metro-manhattan.com/601-west-26th-street-starrett-lehigh-building-contains-executive-office-space-manhattan How do I correct this error using canonical tags? Do I enter the URL of the 1st page under “Canonical URL” under “Advanced” to show Google that these pages are one and the same? If so, do I enter the entire URL into this field (www.metro-manhattan.com /601-west-26th-street-starrett-lehigh-building-contains-executive-office-space-manhattan) or an abbreviated version (/601-west-26th-street-starrett-lehigh-building-contains-executive-office-space-manhattan)? I would like to get rid of 300,000+ links, please
A couple of months ago, I noticed that in Webmaster Tools my site had acquired 300,000+ links from a single site, updown.com. It seems to be a reputable site, and also in the correct industry, so I wrote to them and said that we love links, but that was probably a few too many and they all go to our privacy policy page. I suggested that they had some type of error that they might want to fix. After a month with no response, I wrote again, and still no response. This is now a month after that.

The strange thing is that I don't see the links when I visit their pages, even in the source (Google provides a list of sample linking pages). I also don't see those links in Open Site Explorer, Majestic, AHREFs, nor Screaming Frog. If I were seeing this anywhere else, I'd just ignore it as some type of glitch. But this is information from Google. I have not received any warnings nor manual actions and I am disinclined to open a disavow can of worms, since the site is doing well and I'd rather not stir things up if I don't have to. Any thoughts about what I should (or shouldn't) do? Is this a problem, or should I assume Google knows it is a glitch and will ignore it? It has been in my Webmaster Tools for about three months. Thanks for reading!0 -
How can we get a site reconsidered for Google indexing?
We recently completed a re-design for a site and are having trouble getting it indexed. This site may have been penalized previously. They were having issues getting it ranked and the design was horrible. Any advise on how to get the new site reconsidered to get the rank where it should be? (Yes, Webmaster Tools is all set up with the sitemap linked) Many thanks for any help with this one!

Schema Embedded items Hierarchy
Marking up an attorney bio. Using: http://schema.org/Attorney http://schema.org/Person Hierarchy for Attorney is: Thing > Organization > LocalBusiness > ProfessionalService > Attorney Hierarchy for Person is: Thing > Person So, should I use: Larry Lawyer Firm: Law Firm Name Address: 742 Evergreen Terrace Or should Attorney be the top itemtype? Does it even really matter?
