Issues with Page Grader Tool and competitor KW Rankings
-
I'm having two very frustrating issues with Moz:
-
The page grader tool is not 'connecting' the correct keyword with the correct URL. For instance, if I want to rank for Dallas Motorcycle Accident Lawyer and create page of optimized content at Dallas.Zdfirm.com/Motorcycle-Accident, Moz doesn't grade THAT page. It grades Dallas.ZDFirm.com which to no surprise rates as an F. This is happening with both web sites on this account so much that the page grader tool is not delivering any value.
-
My competitors keywords are not tracking properly. They are showing for "not in the top 50" for keywords that they are on the first page for. Again, this is for both domains on this account.
Thanks,
Brian

Hello Brian, thanks for the heads up! This is Abe from the Moz Help team. I hope I can help.

The page you are trying to grade has a pop up with a Yes or No question, that our crawler can't get past. Make sure to use the on page grader tool with pages that do not have pop ups or mandatory questionnaires that show up when you go to the address. We do hope to add the ability to bypass these in the future.
-
Make sure you are tracking the exact url that your competitor is ranking for in Google. If your competitor ranks for www.example.com and you have example.com (non-www) in your settings, we will not be able to display the correct results. Make sure to indicate the version you notice them ranking for in Google, in your campaign settings.
I hope this helps! If you need any more help or have questions, please write in help@Moz.com and ask fro Abe

The keyword thing is a common problem that's never been fixed. Some weeks it's accurate, some weeks it's not.

Subscription Billing Issues
Hi,I was testing out the medium pro features but was not aware that I had passed the 30day trial period and there was no notification or email sent to me informing me that. It was shocking to have been billed such a huge amount. Is it possible to get a refund? You can check my activity log which will be inactive.

PayPal Billing issue
we’re trying to pay for the Friday Webinar on advanced auditing, but typically PayPal uses the balance when you click “Pay” , which we DONT want. We want to use a credit card. When you click on “change” on paypal you typically are offered the credit cards you have on file, but this version only gives you the option of putting in a new credit card instead of serving up the cards that are already on file with PayPal. When we try to add a new card it tells us that that card is already linked to a paypal account (which would be the same one we are using). How do we pay with our credit card?

What is the difference between the "Crawl Issues" report and the "Crawl Test" report?
I've downloaded the CSV of the Crawl Diagnositcs report (which downloads as the "Crawl Issues" report) and the CSV from the Crawl Test Report, and pulled out the pages for a specific subdomain. The Crawl Test report gave me about 150 pages, where the Crawl Issues report gave 500 pages. Why would there be that difference in results? I've checked for duplicate URLs and there are none within the Crawl Issues report.

Duplicated content issue?
Hi, Moz tools tell me that I have approx. 15xx Pages with High Priority Issues [Duplicate Page Content] going thru the details here are the majority: many products no longer exist and visitor redirected (404) to a same not found page. duplicated content with url appended with utm_source/utm_medium/utm_campaign GA tracking paras. On those page there are already canonical tags plus I've configed those parameters in Google Webmaster "URL Parameters" how much of these warning could compromise the seo proformance or provided that there have been dealt with should I just ignore these warning?

Are the on page report cards graded according to the keywords associated with your campaign only?
One of the key phrases I have associated with my campaign is Las Vegas wedding venues. I have an on-page report card grade D for a page I am optimizing for the long tail key phrase outdoor wedding venues in Las Vegas. Some of the issues I am being asked to fix are:
Product Support | | leslieevarts
1. Broad Keyword Usage in Page Title: Employ the keyword in the page title, preferably as the first words in the element.
2. Keyword Usage in URL
3. Appropriate Keyword Usage in H1 Tag Should I disregard these fixes because Moz.com is running these report as if I am optimizing for Las Vegas wedding venues as oppose to outdoor wedding venues in Las Vegas? All help is appreciated!! Thank you so much 😃0
