How do you create tracking URLs in Wordpress without creating duplicate pages?
-
I use Wordpress as my CMS, but I want to track click activity to my RFQ page from different products and services on my site. The easiest way to do this is through adding a string to the end of a URL (ala http://www.netrepid.com/request-for-quote/?=colocation)
The downside to this, of course, is that when Moz does its crawl diagnostic every week, I get notified that I have multiple pages with the same page title and the dup content.
I'm not a programming expert, but I'm pretty handy with Wordpress and know a thing or two about 'href-fing' (yeah, that's a thing). Can someone who tracks click activity in WP with URL variables please enlighten me on how to do this without creating dup pages?
Appreciate your expertise. Thanks!

Not a bad idea, and I can do that right from my SEO plugin of choice.
Dummy ?'s: Will that disallow addition catch them even if they are at the end of a child page? Also, for correct coding, wouldn't I need the wildcard to go after the ?=, ie
Disallow: /?=* and not place the * in front of the ?=...
Please clarify for me before I add this line of code.
Thanks for your help Dean! Sorry for the late edit of the question.

You can add the following to the robots.txt file to ask the crawler to ignore the parameter currently being included such as:
Disallow: /*?=

Duplicate Content
Hello, I'm managing a site which shows as having duplicate page issues (in the crawl analyser) for 3 pages. Basically the site is offering 3 different options of the same product so depending on which size you select, you are directed to the relevant page. These 3 pages are basically identical apart from a slight difference in copy regarding the size (small, medium, large) Is this likely to be a big issue regarding SEO, and what would the moz community suggest re this? Thank you!

On-Page SEO Fixes - Are They Relative?
So, I'm implementing on-page fixes for a site that my company runs SEO services for (www.ShadeTreePowersports.com). However, I was wondering if there was a way to rank a pages' SEO quality, in general? As of now, it seems like the only way your recommendations can be consumed and altered is on a keyword basis. However, this seems be the reason I have a good amount of my F-Grades. Since my website sells powersports apparel and accessories, we cover a variety of applicable (but different) keywords like 'Motorcycle parts' or 'snow tubes,' because we sell so many different types of products. But, when I look at my F-Grades - SEOMoz is telling me my homepage is ranking poorly for a multitude of those pertinent keywords - but only because my page isn't catered specifically to each of them (IE: 'Snowmobile Parts' - 'Water Sport Apparel') But, with so many different types of products, catering to a specific one is impossible and would be detrimental. Is there a way to see how a page ranks, without factoring in those keywords? Or a better way that I can use these recommendations more efficiently? Thanks guys!

Duplicate page title
I own a store www.mzube.co.uk and the scam always says that I have duplicate page titles or duplicate page. What happens is thn I may have for example www.mzube.co.uk/allproducts/page1. And if I hve 20 pages all what will change from each page is the number at the end and all the rest of the page name will be the same but really the pages are if different products. So the scans think I have 20 pages the same but I havent Is this a concern as I don't think I can avoid this Hope you can answer

Domain vs Page
I see a lot of different metrics pointing to domain or page. What is the difference between these two definitions?

About the rankings report in the Pro Dashboard, does it track the ranking of every page on a root domain, or just the home page or whichever page you set up the campaign with?
I noticed that one of the pages on my root domain has a #5 rank for a keyword, yet the ranking report says that there are no results in the top 50. So I am assuming it is only tracking the home page. That is one thing I liked about the Rank Tracker, that it would find any page that was ranking on a root domain. Thanks, Lara

Company Name in Page Title creating thousands of "Duplicate Page Title" errors
I am new, and I just got back my crawl results (after a week or more). The first thing I noticed is that the "duplicate page title" is in the thousands, my urls and page titles are different. The only thing I can see is that our company name is at appended to the name of every title. I did search and found one other person with this problem, but no answer was given. Can anyone offer some advice? This doesn't seem right... Thanks,
