Domain Authority Drop 4 Points
-
Hi,
Our DA has dropped 4 points overnight, looking at our competitors they all seem to have dropped though none as significantly as us?
Has anyone else noticed a DA drop?
Kind regards,
-
Just for the sake of documenting it, our DA dropped 5 points too, our main competitor dropped just by 2 points. We have 1.4k backlinks, they do have 140k backlinks.
-
Same story here. Ranking has dropped from #5 on the search we want, down to #7. DA dropped by 4 and competitors dropped too. Main competitors DA dropped by 9 though!! One of the main differences between our site and our main competitors is the number of outbound links they have. We have around 700 and they have over 20,000. Yet our ranking has dropped but not as much as their DA...
Confused

We dropped 4 points, also more than our competitors. However, our ratings have improved aside of Linking C Blocks. If anyone has more information about this, I'd love to hear about it.
Our Google ranking has stayed the same thus far even through the update.
-
Hey there! Yep ours dropped by 2 points overnight and competitors did the same.
-
Ours dropped by two points. This is some BS.
-
Open Site Explorer updated yesterday, so that might have something to do with it. Domain Authority can change, depending on the index. [If you look back over old questions, you see that this comes up every so often. http://moz.com/community/q/domain-authority-drops#reply_209933 ]

Our dropped two points as did our competitors. I wouldn't worry too much. I'm curious if this is a result of the most recent Google Penguin release.
-
Ours dropped 5 points. We moved from http to https in the meanwhile, I don't know if that is related.

Dear all, in open site explorer there is a difference the url's 'www.domain.com/page' and 'www.domain.com/page/' (extra slash at end). There can be different values in pageauthority etc. in the open site explorer tool, but is this also the case for Google? Thanks for replying, Regards, Ben

Report is showing 2 different domains?
Hello SEOMOZ Fam, I am trying to get a understanding on what is the best method for me to do moving forward. I am just noticing that my reports are showing data for both http://domain & http://www.domain which is what has been confusing me for this whole past month. I have just went into my control panel and redirected domains to be just http://domain....will me doing this redirect clean up my next crawl report next week or are there other steps I need to do with my domain or even my campaign? I think I chose root level for my campaign setting. Thanks so much n advance

OSE - Group by Domain Export
When exporting inbound link data from OSE, it seems to lose the "group by domain" filter. Is it possible to download the data like that or do I need to filter through all the links myself? Thanks!

Google updated their algorithm. How up to date is OpenSiteExplorer's Domain and Page authority?
Hi guys, as we all know, Google Panda update is here and it changed how they rank inbound links and the linkers domain and page authority. But when I look at OpenSiteExplorer's results, I cant see a difference in the page and domain authority. Why is that?

How do I fix a duplicate content error with a top level domain?
Hi, I'm getting a duplicate content error from the SEOmoz crawler due to an issue with trailing slashes. It's showing www.milengo.com and www.milengo.com/ as having duplicate page titles. However I'm pretty sure this has been fixed in the .htaccess file since if you type in the domain with a trailing slash it automatically redirects to the domain without a trailing slash, so this shouldn't be an issue. I'm stuck here. Any ideas? Thanks. Rob

Why is the linking root domains count not increasing
For the last month I have been tracking my backlinks thru open site explorer. Over the same period I have gone on a minor link building exercise via social media, some directories as well as writing fresh new content for the site. However, my backlink count has increased in the Rank Tracker tool but my root linking domains have remain at the same level. Is there a lag or is this because some of these site are not in the open site index? To be specific - I have personally setup follow links from sites like tumblr, posterous, stumbleUpon, delicious and other like these. Would really like to understand the limitations so I can take the appropriate action. Thanks
