Cookieless subdomains Vs SEO
-
We have one .com that has all our unique content and then 25 other ccltd sites that are translated versions of the .com for each country we operate in. They are not linked together but we have href lang'd it all together.
We now want to serve up all static content of our global website (26 local country sites, .com, .co.uk, .se, etc) from one cookie-less subdomain. Benefit is speed improvement. The question is whether from an SEO perspective, can all static content come from static.domain.com or should we do one for each ccltd where it would come form static.domain.xx (where xx is localised to the domain in question)

Sounds like you should be all set! Thanks for the very kind words, too, Aires Let me know if I or Moz can ever be helpful.

Wow Thanks Rand, I'm a long time fan of yours! I am kind of Starstruck, learnt most of what I know from you and this site. When I was SEO Manager at The Open University I mentioned your name several times in all our board meetings.
Yes exactly, I was inquiring about the content requests, no changing of the domains. I had assumed that and even told my Boss however needed confirmation and who better to give me it.
Thank you again, would you be so kind to add me on LinkedIn so I can tease everyone in the office

Thanks

I think you have the best possible answer above.
Good Luck.

Hi Aires - if I'm understanding your question correctly (content will essentially be pushed by a server connected to domain A when people visit domains B, C, D, E, F, etc behind the scenes) it sounds like you should be fine. Search engines don't much care where the content requests are going to, which is how things like CDNs work, so as long as the requests to www.domainb.de, for example, return the same content as before, you should be fine.
If, however, you're suggesting that requests that used to go to, for example, www.domainb.de, will now redirect to static.domaina.com, that's a different story and could have a substantive SEO impact (as the ccTLD benefits, and all the links/signals that help domainb.de will be lost). If you're redirecting those ccTLDs, that could have some negative impact on localization, which could be helping you out now.
I'm not sure I perfectly understood your question, but hopefully this is helpful.
Best of luck,
Rand

How good or bad is this for SEO?
I will try to make this as clear as possible. We represent the yellow pages - www.visalietuva.lt

For every single company that is listed we have Creditworthiness - that helps to find information about their payment history and their business status. It's pretty useful. An example could be found here: http://www.visalietuva.lt/en/company/dizrega-uab/creditworthiness Some companies that are proud of their result started putting Iframe on their pages:
http://dizrega.lt/lt/kontaktai/firmos-rodikliai We noticed this on Google Webmasters, when new links started to appear.
So we are not sure if this is good for SEO? Of course this is good for our Google Analytics:))
If this is good, maybe we should send offer for our clients, that we can help to put iframe like this for free, for people who are not able to do it themselves. Your opinions please!0 -

Google + pages and SEO results...
Hi, Can anyone give me insight into how people are getting away with naming their business by the SEO search term, creating a BS Google + page, then having that page rank high in the search results. I am speaking specifically about the results you get when you Google: "Los Angeles DUI Lawyer". As you can see from my attached screenshot (I'm doing the search in Los Angeles), the FIRST listing is a Google + business. Strangely, the phone number listed doesn't actually take you to a DUI attorney, but rather to some marketing group that never answers the phone. Can anyone give me insight into why Google even allows this? I just find it odd that Google cares so much about the user experience, but have the first result be something completely misleading. I know it sounds like I'm just jealous (which I am, a little), but I find it disheartening that we work so hard on SEO, and someone takes the top spot with an obvious BS page. UupqBU9

SEO for Log in Sites
Hello, I just lunched a website where you have to sign up and to log in in order to use it. So I have the home, also a blog but then the rest of the pages are let's say it "hidden".How would you do the seo for it? I have been cheking facebook, foursquare and some others and they use different approaches. Facebook uses the same description in every single page for example. My site is similar to foursquare users have profile, stats, history, ranking. Well, what is your advice?? Thanks a lot

SEO Company Referral
I am looking for a great US based SEO company referral. I try to do as much as I can on my end but the more I learn, then more I find I need help to do a great job. Lately running the business takes most of my time, and we need a team who really specializes in SEO. Can anyone recommend a SEO company with a great reputation, someone who has done great work for you in the past? I get many people contacting me with SEO promises, but I need some advice from someone with more experience than me. I appreciate all of your insights.

Meta keywords vs tags
On a blog from an SEO perspective how do you choose keywords to use in the "meta keyword tag" vs. "post tags"? Will it be different based on the search volume/competition of the keywords targeted?
