Blog Content In different language not indexed - HELP PLEASE!
-
I have an ecommerce site in English and a blog that is in Malay language. We have started the blog 3 weeks ago with about 20-30 articles written. Ecommerce is using MAgento CMS and Blog is wordpress.
URL Structure:
Ecommerce: www.example.com
Blog: www.example.com/blog
Blog category: www.example.com/blog/category/
However, google is indexing all pages including blog category but not individual post that is in Malay language. What could be the issue here? PLEASE help me!

Ha, it happens. Every once in awhile I do a full audit on our thousands of clients. I find the strangest things - meta robots blocked, robots.txt blocked, client releases new site, doesn't tel us, no onsite done at all, homepage titles set to "Home." It happens - things get lost in the mix.
Plus, most people deal with robots.txt and meta robots (at least more frequently).
The simplest thing for future reference is just to drop it in Screaming Frog (even the trial) and just see what you see.

OMGGGGGG.... .Such simple thing.. how could i miss!
Thank you!

The blog posts themselves are all set to nofollow in the meta robots tag on each page.

Wrong target content in the SERP regarding language
Hi Guys! I'm currently under an SEO issue and need some advices about it. My problem is that, Google doesn't show the good pages in the SERPs regarding the languages. In fact, I translated some content in Italian, German, French etc ... When someone use the branding name of the project to find it by google, if this guy is French, German, or something else, Google shows the English version in the results. I of course would like google showing the German version for a German guy in the SERP ... I already made properly my hreflang tags. Some tips to fix it? Thanks a lot in advance! And hope everybody had a merry christmas!

Shall we add engaging and useful FAQ content in all our pages or rather not because of duplication and reduction of unique content?
We are considering to add at the end of alll our 1500 product pages answers to the 9 most frequently asked questions. These questions and answers will be 90% identical for all our products and personalizing them more is not an option and not so necessary since most questions are related to the process of reserving the product. We are convinced this will increase engagement of users with the page, time on page and it will be genuinely useful for the visitor as most visitors will not visit the seperate FAQ page. Also it will add more related keywords/topics to the page.

On the downside it will reduce the percentage of unique content per page and adds duplication. Any thoughts about wether in terms of google rankings we should go ahead and benefits in form of engagement may outweight downside of duplication of content?0 -
Content Strategy/Duplicate Content Issue, rel=canonical question
Hi Mozzers: We have a client who regularly pays to have high-quality content produced for their company blog. When I say 'high quality' I mean 1000 - 2000 word posts written to a technical audience by a lawyer. We recently found out that, prior to the content going on their blog, they're shipping it off to two syndication sites, both of which slap rel=canonical on them. By the time the content makes it to the blog, it has probably appeared in two other places. What are some thoughts about how 'awful' a practice this is? Of course, I'm arguing to them that the ranking of the content on their blog is bound to be suffering and that, at least, they should post to their own site first and, if at all, only post to other sites several weeks out. Does anyone have deeper thinking about this?

The posts are crawled it seems - but seen as less important for a reason I don't understand. Can anyone here help with this? See here for what i mean. I have had several wp sites rank well in the serps - and the posts do much better. Than the categories or archives - super odd. Thanks to all for help!

Branding and Page Titles - Please Help
Hello, I have a question about page titles. How important is branding here? I'm not referring to the company name, but rather the terminology that's used as "branding language" for a company. For example, let's say that the it would be a good idea to target the keyword "Restaurant Coupons" based on search volume and competition. However, our branding adheres to the language "Dining Offers". Is it considered a bad idea to use "Restaurant Coupons" in the page title? Or is that considered inconsistent branding? Basically, I'm just trying to figure out the correct balance between the SEO value of words and adhering to a company's branding. Any help is appreciated! Thanks,

Is it OK to dynamically serve different content to paid and non-paid traffic from the same URL?
Hi Moz! We're trying to serve different content to paid and non-paid visitors from the same URL. Is this black hat? Here's the reason we want to do this -- we're testing a theory that paid ads boost organic rankings. This is something we saw happen to a client and we want to test this further. But we have to have a different UX that's more sparse and converts better for paid. Thanks for reading!

Two sites with same content in different countries. How does it effect SEO?
Lets say for example that we have to sites, example.com and example.co.uk. The sites has the same content in the same language. Can the sites rank well in its own country? Of course all content could be rewritten, but that is very time consuming. Any suggestions? Has anyone did this before or now a site which has?
