IT's Hurt My Rank?HELP!!!
-
hi,guys,john here,
i just began use the MOZ service several days ago,
recently i noticed one thing that one keyword on the first google search result page,
but when i done some external links, the rank down from 1 to 8,
i think may be the bad quality external links caused the rank down.
so my question, should i delete the bad quality links or build more better quality links?
which is better for me.
easy to delete the bad links and hard to build high quality links.
so what's your better opinion,guys?
thanks
John

If the Penguin is wasn't started in the last few hours, the new "bad" links couldn't have caused a ranking-loss.
If you have bad links and you knew it - disavow them or ask the linking people to delete them. Disavow is a bit pointing Google on a thing they may not have noticed.
If the next penguin isn't a realtime update - you can't recover until the next-one. So if you have bad links (if) you need to get them away quickly - penguin is coming soon.Go on for link earning by great, shareable & linkable content.
That's hard to do, but the best thing you can do. -
Hi John,
I use the https://moz.com/tools/seo-toolbar to quickly scan the potential and "spamminess" of a link to my site. For a more thorough look you can use the open site explorer (https://moz.com/researchtools/ose). Fact is that bad links are bad and I would definitely try to get rid of them if it is that easy as you mentioned. I also use google Search console to see which links are added for SC is more up to date than MOz. New links you can check again with the toolbar/ open site explorer from MOZ. Since you still rank 8th position on the keyword you haven't been penalized yet so I wouldnt worry too much. Indeed put some (hard) work in high quality backlinks and I am sure you will never regret it
Good luck!

If you've got bad links to your site, then the priority is to get rid of those. Its usually pretty clear if a link is bad, use an online link checker if you want to be doubly sure. Still go on and build some good links though, getting rid of the bad links by no means guarantees you a return to top spot.

Creating a help hub, not sure the best name to use, " keyword help " or " help hub "?
I've been creating new content for our site, lots of help related content, so I created a help hub section. Now the more I go through it, and look at url structure and breadcrumbs, I can't help but think I should be using a keyword in there, but also don't want to over do it, since the keyword we are shooting for is also a subsection of our site, complete with url keyword and breadcrumb. So I just don't want to have too many over redundant titles like keyword this and keyword that, so I came here to get some advice from the awesome community of folks. Keep help hub so it's: Url: site.com/help-hub/helppage1 Breadcrumb: Home > Help-Hub > Help Page 1 or Url: site.com/keyword/help/helppage1 Breadcrumb: Home > Keyword > Help > Help Page 1

Is putting a manufacturer's product manual on my site in PDF duplicate content
I add the product manuals to our product pages to provide additional product information to our customers. Is this considered duplicate content? Is there a best way to do this so that I can offer the information to my customers without getting penalized for it? Should they be indexable? If not how do I control?

Anything I'm missing as my page just donst seem to rank
I am wandering if anyone can offer any suggestions, we have a page on our site https://www.wilsonfield.co.uk/insolvency-advice/liquidation/ this page is optimised to rank for liquidation however no matter how many links or how optimised the page is it just will not show in the SERPS. Moz gives it a page score of A we have built relevant links directly to the page using appropriate anchor text, have social likes and concentrated of getting more google+ likes. We run a detailed Moz SERP report comparing the above url to the top 10 ranked pages and we are looking competitive if not better on all ranking factors. This is now really frustrating that we arnt even in the top 100 and cant understand why. we have the https version of the site also submitted to webmaster tools and www is set to be the prefered. Has anyone got any ideas as to why google just dosnt like our site, we have no crawl errors we use all best practices.

Schema Markup and Google's Rich Snippet Tool
Has anyone ever used the snippet tool and gotten the following error "could not fetch website"? When using the tool and placing an url that does not have markup present it will show that as the error. Or if part of markup is wrong, it will diagnose it accordingly. Did a search online and found limited info...one of which someone had this error but when other users tested it, they were not getting the same error.
