Newbie question: 5 ways to get the most from Moz
-
Hi there, I'm new to Moz. I work for a furniture retailer and I'm in the process of auditing our digital presence and improving how we appear on Google and therefore to our customers. I am working on our website's content and SEO, Google Local Listing, getting our products added to Google Shopping and updating our social media accounts, removing old accounts and improving current ones.
I'd like to know how to make the most of Moz. I have set our site up in Moz Pro but I'm unsure where to go next, so I was wondering if you'd be able to offer 5 tips on where to really get started.
Thank you.

Hi Ben! These are some great suggestions, and I'll add that you should attend one of our twice-weekly Pro walkthrough webinars. If the times don't work for you, there are some recordings of past webinars available, too.

On top of the above. Two things I do every week, you MUST watch every WBF. Somehow Rand pre-empts what we are thinking about... Secondly I think this forum is the best. Just ask whatever question you have probably in deeper detail... and we will try and answer... set out your sites specific issue and I am sure you will get some great advice..

Unsolved What would the exact text be for robots.txt to stop Moz crawling a subdomain?
I need Moz to stop crawling a subdomain of my site, and am just checking what the exact text should be in the file to do this. I assume it would be: User-agent: Moz

Disallow: / But just checking so I can tell the agency who will apply it, to avoid paying for their time with the incorrect text! Many thanks.0 -
What is the IP address of the MOZ crawlbot?
Our preproduction site is restricted to a specific IP range. Prelaunch I'd like to use MOZ to check the site but this obviously isn't currently possible. Is there an IP range I can whitelist ?

Not able to access Moz pro page and my campaigns
Hi, I could not able to access my campaign pages (pro home page). I received the below issue while logged into my account. This webpage has a redirect loop The webpage at http://moz.com/pro/home has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer. Learn more about this problem. Error code: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS I have checked on both firefox, chrome browsers after cleared the history and cookies. Also checked with different ISP providers. But received the same. Has anyone experienced the same? Plz help.

Moz Staff: History + Watch List
Hi All, I have been going crazy trying to find a thread I read last week ... I think!
Getting Started | | Mark_Ch
Several search attempts later, no closer to finding the thread in question. A genius moment or simple frustration got me thinking. How cool would it be to have the following features on MOZ Q&A Forum. Watch List
1] Check off any threads that you would like to monitor over time. Should you stumble upon a thread of value then simply add to watch list and view it's progress over time. No searching for the thread in question. History
2] Keep a history off all threads viewed over a period of time. Thanks Mark0 -
Moz Analytics - Custom Report Question
Hello Moz Forums! I'm having problems building custom reports for my clients. So, i've managed to put together a few reports and I've set these to be scheduled for weekly automated emailing! Now, here's the problem, before sending it to my clients, I was testing this by sending it to myself. This is what I receive: http://www.freelance-seo.co.uk/images/Moz.png I don't really want my clients to see 'By Moz!' everywhere when I send this out, is there a way to change this automated mail? Or a way to just just send the PDF without a link? Alternatively, have I just failed in using this product? Edit: Just to clarify! The 'simply change your report settings' option, just takes me to an option to edit the report title, not the email in any way.

Quickest Way to Pro Campaigns after Log In?
For some reason every time I sign into Moz there is no sign of a button or menu for my pro campaigns. I have to click on the Moz Analytics button at the top right of the screen. As of today I now have to click a campaign within analytics before I see any sign of a pro campaign button. Can anyone tell me the quickest and easiest way to find my pro campaigns once I've signed in? I also have the same problem if I wonder off to blogs, Q&A, Products and Training. Feeling increasingly frustrated and starting to avoid using Moz.

How do you "Moz Crawl" a website? Newbie...
Hi everyone; I've used Screaming Frog in the past and it's simple: you enter the URL to the box and click "start" and.. voila: as the button says, the crawling starts. I've had the Pro version of Moz for a while now and haven't really 'done' anything with it. I'd like to crawl a website and thought it would be as easy as it's always been with Screaming Frog... but, for some reason, I can't find the 'way' to do it. I find it really frustrating especially cause I feel like an idiot going around in circles thinking I'm missing something really obvious... Until I realised the only solution was to ask here! So... how in the world do you crawl a website using Moz tools? (Pro version) Thanks!
