Does anyone have experience with outcomes on listing your products under grouped search results as opposed to separated out. It seems that this can be easily accomplished by using a SKU that is different then others in the listing but I wonder if one ranks better over the other (it appears that grouped searched rank a bit higher). It seems that it would be best to take into consideration the audience you are targeting and what their habits are, i.e. would they be more likely to click on the group searches and look for products that way or do they want to find a reputable brand and would more likely click on that. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated as I am not really finding any information on this subject.

Thanks for the input. In this particular case, the pricing is not an issue as the client has a MAP policy in place so they will actually have a lower or exact match price to their dealers. The issue is more about the best place for them to be visible and not so much about them selling products through the marketplace.

Yea I agree. I have performed many searches on Google shopping and grouped listings seem to perform substantially better than individual listings.
However, that sucks because you don't want to list your products right next to your competition's if you don't want to right? Well the easy work around IMO is to amazon.com. Create a unique SKU and list that on your Google base feed as one of your unique identifiers. Also upload your product inventory to Amazon using this same SKU. Alter these product's prices in relation to your commission you are forced to pay amazon. In a head to head comparison (like what customers will see on Google shopping) it will drive customers to your store instead of Amazon. Using this method you will have all the benefits of a grouped listing, but none of the disadvantages. Plus, the sheer amount of ratings Amazon has will result in them pulling up your listing compared to others. Essentially you are paying amazon a small set fee in order for their help in Google Shopping results. I have used this strategy in the past for products that don't come from the manufacturer with a UPC, and it has worked for me.
Good luck!

Connecting Two Websites Without Upsetting Google
I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but want to cover my bases. We have a successful blog and are creating a second similar blog for a more specific type of reader. We want to backlink between content because it makes sense for the reader. Our fear is that we may come off spammy to Google by having so many backlinks. Is there a way we are able to tell Google these two sites are related so they don't penalize either site for anything?

Can a company group have reciprocal links on their company websites without being penalised by Google?
A client which is part of a group of businesses all within one industry but have different purposes has come to us aith a "brilliant idea" that they all have a blog on their website that links to every business within their group. We are pretty sure that this will be seen as "black hat" by Google, but just wanted to see what you all thought? Thanks!

What is the importance of root domains linking to your website in Google's rankings? I notice our competition has a much higher number on keywords I'm analyzing. Thank you!
I've noticed our competition has a much higher number of "root domains" linking to their page than we do. Is this simply a result of more websites linking to them? How long does it normally take to build up these numbers/rankings? (I'm assuming it's a concerted effort, which I'll be researching.) Thank you!

I'm losing traffic & I have been since April. I'm pretty sure it's Penguin but I have not received any messages from Google. Should I proceed with the disavowal tool to remove some of the spammy directory links? PS Submit Edge is owned by the Devil

Is there a cost per acuqistion figure I can quote that if I hire an agency to link build that we can guarantee a level of increased traffic from Google?
I am looking to justify to a pubilsher the cost outlay to hire an agency to do white hat link building for me as we do not have time. (the site is fully optimised but we lack the inbound links our competitors have) - is there a way I can explain in terms of numbers ie page impressions that if we build for eg 10k high quality anchor text links into our site we will get x thousand more page impressions as our rankings in the search engines will increase? Just need a justification before the budget is allocated.
