Is Google sandboxing > 6 months possible or should we move on?
-
The below chart shows what we believed on of our domains being caught in the Google sandbox for the last 6 months; the sites has built site has built significant, relevant, high quality backlinks and content and is outperforming the majority of sites ranked in the top 10.
The site was a reset project of a site caught in Panda however we tried to not use any 301 redirects or linkages between the site.
After 6 months without organic traffic I am leaning on the community for advice if this could still be legitimate Google sandboxing or if we should try to repoint our external links to a new domain and see if the site can gain rankings quicker?
From past project the Google sandbox issue has been resolved within 2 months.
Any advice welcome.

This is the second question you have posted around a site and Panda issues. From "reset project of a site caught in Panda" I have to assume what you did was got a new site and tried to get it to rank. You state that you tried not to use any redirects, but the bigger issue is did you reuse content? was the site "spammy" to start with and is it still "spammy?" Are you in an area like payday loans that Google is really more careful with today? Etc.
From looking at both questions, I have to think there was something wrong initially and that you have in someway brought that with you to the new site. I do not believe you are suffering from any type of sandbox effect for 6 months.

Google Indexing
Hi We have roughly 8500 pages in our website. Google had indexed almost 6000 of them, but now suddenly I see that the pages indexed has gone to 45. Any possible explanations why this might be happening and what can be done for it. Thanks, Priyam

HTML > Tag
We are currently adding reviews to a clients site from The Review Centre. We are trying to use semantic markup more, so would like to know the best way to do this. Example: <blockquote cite="http://www.example.co.uk">

Is this the "Google Dance"?
We just did a site redesign, and removed the noindex, etc. about 10 days ago. Over the last 24 hours, I've gotten some of my top keywords on the first page, but now they are gone, a few hours later. I assume this is typical?

Not ranking on Bing but is on Google?
Hi What are the main differences between Bing and Google in terms of ranking sites? My site is ranking well in Google but in Bing it is very low down and does not deliver much traffic. In Bing webmaster tools there are no warning messages and I had sent in a sitemap back in 2011 and 77 pages are listed, but I had not submitted a URL could this be why my pages are not ranking highly? Or does anybody have a checklist on what a site should offer to get ranking on Bing?

Google Local oddity
So I spotted something a little weird... one of my client's Google Local placements in blended results has the domain name - complete with the .com extension appearing where the business name typically appears: Businessxyz.com www. businessxyz .com of Google reviews Has anyone seen this? I setup their Google Places account quite some time ago and used the business name - not the url. I also setup their Google+ and Local page - using the name. None of the page titles on the website contain the url. I simply can not pinpoint where G is pulling this from or why for that matter. All competitors are appearing with business name - only my client has the domain name visible for the particular local search query. Any ideas?

Google Penguin Winners and Losers?
Hi All, Just wondering out of the SEOmoz community who has come out on top after Penguin and who has been hit and why. Personally my site has come out on top. I started workig on the site back in December and NOTHING had been done, no link development, no onpage, nothing, a virginal website. The site was chock-a-block with issues both technically and in content. After 4 months of hard work, we have climbed from 100+ to top ten on most of our phrases and post Penguin we have climbed even higher as some of our competitors were dragged down into the murky depths. So I think thats a win (for now). My focus has been on Guest posting, social outreach, reviews and getting my on page right (still a ways to go, but our CMS is clunky to say the least). A little humour attached 😉 (Why has no one yet stuck Matt Cutts head on a Penguin?) Are you a Penguin Winner or have you experienced the wrath of the penguin. keep-calm-and-deoptimise.jpg
