Subdomain vs totally new domain

Problem:
Our organization publish maps for public viewing using google maps. We are currently getting limited value from these links. We need to separate our public and private maps for infrastructure purposes, and are weighing up the strengths and weaknesses of separating by domain or sub domain with regards SEO and infrastructure.
Current situation:
maps.mycompany.com currently has a page authority of 30 and mycompany.com has a domain authority of 39. We are currently only getting links from 8 maps which are shared via social media whereas most people embed our maps on their website using an iframe which I believe doesn't do us any favour with SEO. We currently have approx 3K public maps.
Question:
What SEO impact can you see if we move our public maps from the subdomain maps.mycompany.com to mycompanypublicmaps.com?

Since subdomains are treated as a completely separate domain, your options here are essentially to go with an aged domain with backlinks vs a fresh domain that will be "sandboxed" for a little while.
Before someone yells at me for it, no, the Google Sandbox no longer exists but you will still see fresh domains rank nowhere for several months in most scenarios.
With that out of the way, as long as moving those maps to the subdomain doesn't provide a poor UX then this is going to be your best option. Retain the strength you've already built and keep going from there rather than starting fresh. Just be weary of the potential for existing users who may have saved favorites or emailed links to the primary domain; you don't want them landing on a functional page that looks nothing like what they were expecting!

Migrating Subfolder content to New domain Safely
Hello everyone, I'm currently facing a challenging situation and would greatly appreciate your expertise and guidance. I own a website, maniflexa.com, primarily focused on the digital agency niche. About 3 months ago, I created a subfolder, maniflexa.com/emploi/, dedicated to job listings which is a completely different niche. The subfolder has around 120 posts and pages. Unfortunately, since I created the subfolder, the rankings of my main site have been negatively impacted. However, I want to ensure a smooth migration without affecting the main domain maniflexa.com rankings and losing backlinks from maniflexa.com/emploi/ pages. Is moving the subfolder content to a new domain a viable solution? And how can I effectively redirect all pages from the subfolder to the new domain while preserving page ranks and backlinks?

Cleaning up a Spammy Domain VS Starting Fresh with a New Domain
Hi- Can you give me your opinion please... if you look at murrayroofing.com and see the high SPAM score- and the fact that our domain has been put on some spammy sites over the years- Is it better and faster to place higher in google SERP if we create a fresh new domain? My theory is we will spin our wheels trying to get unlisted from alot of those spammy linking sites. And that it would be faster to see results using a fresh new domain rather than trying to clean up the current spammy doamin. Thanks in advance - You guys have been awesome!!

Gradual Increase in Domain Authority After Domain Migration But No Improvement in Organic Traffic Yet
We migrated our domain in early April and simultaneously added an SSL certificate. Everything was done by the books. All redirects implemented perfectly, very few errors. Google notified via Search Console. Despite all steps being done perfectly our domain authority dropped from 24 to 8. Organic traffic dropped from about 80 per day to about 10. Each month domain authority increases by 2 or 3. We are now back up to a DA of 16. But no improvement in organic traffic yet. At what point should organic traffic start to return? Hopefully the consistent improvement in DA is a good sign. I have been told that adding SSL and moving the domain at the same time was a very bad idea. We are starting link building next week. Hopefully that will help further. Any ideas as to when this situation will improve? Needless to say it has been awful for our business.

A new website issue

I have started a new website 22 days ago at the beginning of this month and i have long articles. I think this should make the site appear in search results for long tail keywords even if they are not very relevant but as you can see in the attached image from my webmaster tools the impression count has suddenly increased to 100 then significantly decreased again. Subdomains
HI there We have the following situation: www.client.com/home at /home we will have a iframe calling a subdomain data.client.com . We need to use this structure because the server structure our client have. Is there any way i can index just www.client.com/home instead the subdomain, but include the data from the iframe to be indexed ? saying that because if google shows up the subdomain page on the search results, it will not bring anything as we need /home to the iframe/subdomain to work. So, google should just index /home and the data from the subdomain, but not the subdomain itself. Does it make sense? If not, any recommendation how it should be setup? Appreciate any help.

7 years old domain sandboxed for 8 months, wait or make a domain change?
Hello folks The questions is, if a domain, 7 years old being sandboxed due to "notice of unnatural links to website" does it make sense to make a domain change (301 permanent redirect and make a "domain change" under google webmaster tools) to another, aged(!) domain name?
