Ezine Articles
-
How much do other people rate Ezines as a provider of articles and incoming links. What are peoples experiences.
It has to be one of the most strict article sites but does this make it the best ?
-
Using Ezine as a source of content will load up your domain with duplicate content. These pages will not pull traffic unless your domain is stronger than any other domain that has the same content.
If you submit content to Ezine that will put the content on a lot of other domains, most of them will remove your links and the rest probably have links that are almost worthless.
I think that Ezine is a good recommend to your competitor.

Agree. There are only a handful of the "old time" article directories that still rank. But this may be a historical artifact that doesn't apply to new content. At least that's what a handful of my experiments to date suggest.

Interesting one I added this to my blog at http://blog.onlinemediadirect.co.uk but have had low levels of comments. Noticed you do magento
If I may go off topic for a moment I wanted to see if its possible to get a feed from magento to integrate withing ebay and amazon ? Plus thinking of an easy upload to adwords.
It has something like 7000 products hence the requirement.

I concur! Ezinearticles has a ton of Adsense crap on it anyway. I have a couple links coming from them, but it's not something I increased rankings for. Instead of using that time on article writing, I integrated ADDTHIS and Facebook Comments into my site. More shares and likes, more interest.

I would currently rate Ezinearticles extremely low on the authority of their content and links according to Google. This is simply based on the Panda update backlash that devalued ezine and similar article databases.
While it was extremely popular in the past, the popularity and spamming of content/links is what also led to the demise and devaluing.
You time and effort would be better spent elsewhere.

Indirect Link Earning via dofollow Links In News Articles
Hello, MOZ SEO Gurus. I've been trying to think some deep thoughts on safe, effective link earning for news publishing sites, and wanted to run this up the flagpole and see if you salute. Our site is a biotech news service -- we pump out copious amounts of news content each day, which works well for driving traffic. That being said, we also want to rank some optimized landing pages as well. Take, for example, this page, which we'd like to rank for "secondary progressive MS" and related keywords: http://bionews-tx.com/secondary-progressive-ms/ Now, as far as I'm concerned, shopping this page around to MS influencers isn't easy. I can go to Foundational websites, blogs, etc., and say, "hey, we have this info page on SPMS, and I thought that you might find it helpful/want to link to it." But chances are, the MS influencers already have their own proprietary content on SPMS, and there isn't much value to linking to it. Therefore, I think that we'll get few link earning conversions on the effort. However, what if I take our Secondary Progressive MS landing page, and I link to it in a corresponding article about SPMS research, as I did here: http://bionews-tx.com/news/2014/01/30/secondary-progressive-ms-natalizumab-clinical-trial/ Then, I go to the drug developer who is at the center of this story and say to them, "hey, we recently covered your drug in the news, and I thought you might want to link to it." Then, we get a link from an MS drug developer to the news article, which in turn has a prominent anchor text, dofollow internal link to the landing page for SPMS. If the link from the drug developer is dofollow, then we flow page rank juice from the drug developer page to our news page to our landing page. To me, it's much easier to earn safe links this way than to try and shop the landing page itself. That being said, if we get a dofollow link on the news piece, we only get a diminished portion of page rank going to the landing page. Is this strategy viable? Is the indirect flow of page rank from a linking site to a news article to a landing page even worth it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Why articles submitted to squidoo not indexed by google
Hi, I have written a few articles and uploaded to squidoo/hubpage last month and they have been accepted and I can see the links in the articles. But they dont appear in the latest link report from Google Webmaster Tools. Is it because it's delay or Google simply wont treat them as valid links? Thanks

Which Article Directories are still relevant?
Hi, I know Article Directories are not valued as high as they once were and many took a hit from Google. But are there any Article Directories that are still worth posting content on? Thanks!

Is article spinning necessary?
Say I create my own original content for my website. If I want to build backlinks and promote to web 2.0 websites, do I need to spin my articles to submit to them or can I just send them a direct copy?

Article Marketing
Hello, Our nearest ecommerce competitor has quite a few links from article directories like ezinearticles.com and similar sites. I know these sites are bottom of the barrel in SEO, but I've been thinking of writing a few 500 word articles and posting them on some of the strongest of these article directories. Maybe I'll stick to ezinearticles.com since I only like to get links from sites that are going to stick around. What do you think - which of these article directories going to be here for the long term? Mainly what I'm asking for here is a top 5 list of the best article directories, or perhaps a better article marketing strategy. I loved that whiteboard friday on Article Marketing. I'm going to watch that again. Thank you.
