Google Account verification requires phone number - too many clients!
-
Hello, all! I like to create a Google Account for my smaller clients, so that I can associate Analytics, AdWords, GMB, etc. all with the same account. Problem: I've used my phone number too many times, so I can't get the new account verified. I've also used all three of the other phones in our family. Â I tried using the "Burner" iPhone app to create a new number, but apparently the all-knowing Google even has info on phone numbers, as it returned "This phone number cannot be used for verification." I'm sure that there's an obvious solution out there - who among you has found it, and is willing to share?!

Hey - another vote for getting this set up for your client. It is a pain sometimes to get them to verify etc but if you can do it this way the client retains central control and visibility and you can then bolt on access to all of these platforms.
Hope that helps

completely agreed with above suggestion. That is the best way.

Scott, why dont you create one agency account and then keep adding your clients to Analytics, webmaster, GTM etc. using their email id instead of creating one account for each client. You will have admin access and depending upon rights/access you can give access to each client the the property created under your own account.

I've 'lost' my Google Referral international traffic
We recently launched a new version of our website on the PrestaShop platform. On our old DNN platform, we would typically see several thousand clicks a month from Google Referral (domestic) and several thousand more collectively from Google Referral international traffic (i.e. UK, Canada, Germany, France). This was the data being reported in Google Analytics. Once the new site went live however, Google Referral traffic, both domestic and international, all dropped to 0.  My question is: Did we lose this traffic due to some improper setting on our new platform, or is this Google Referral traffic simply being re-categorized into another category, i.e. Organic Search?

Return of investment on spend on google adwords
Hi Running an adwords campaign for a builders/construction company namely double glazing what sort of return of investment could I expect to get on a return of ÂŁ4000 per month? I know its a million dollar question but any insight or thoughts would be appreciated, especially on tracking ROI for example in this case it's just leads via a contact form on potential conservatory, windows or doors work which would be followed up via phone and an onsite visit.

Google Giving 404 Errors to Working Pages
We have a problem that just came up out of the blue with Google, in particular Webmaster Tools & our Merchant Center. Â We're getting a 404 errors for 1000s of pages in both of these applications, but the pages are working just fine. Â Our shopping campaigns have been hit hard as many of our top products have been suspended from our merchant feed. Â Webmaster tools is giving us 1000s of 404 errors to product & category pages alike. But every page returning a 404 error is working. Â We've contacted Google and they mention that they are not getting a 404 error, but their crawler seems to be. Â Has anyone ever experienced this? Â What could be causing this? Thanks for any input.

Why do some Adwords agencies insist on setting up Adwords in their own account?
I'm an online marketing consultant and I work with a variety of agencies who handle Adwords. Â I keep running into an issue where agencies want to set up Adwords in a proprietary account for my clients rather than in the client's account and manage it through MCC. Â I have just run into again and this time the agency claims they are protecting their Adwords "secret sauce" but that the client will still have full access to keywords, negative keywords, Ad copy, etc. Â It just doesn't pass the sniff test with me. Can anyone tell me if there are some legitimate reasons for an agency to do this other than to simply try to hold data hostage so that clients can't leave them without loss? Â I am inclined to tell my client they should run away screaming, but thought I would bounce it off you smart people first. Thanks!

Google CPP
I'm having some issues setting up a Google CPP extension, and am looking for help. I just set up a new ad group with a call extension.  The bid for CPP is high enough to cover the adword bid plus $1 for the call.  However, it is saying that the ad is ineligible. Research is leading me to believe that you need to have 25-40 clicks on an ad in a month in order to qualify.  This will be difficult provided the budget and style of the ad. I also have another ad group under the same campaign.  That has 79 clicks in the last month.  Google is marking this ad as ineligible as well. What do I need to do to make the ad eligible?  Anyone have some advice or something that I've missed?  The ad extension itself and phone number have been approved. Thanks again for your help!

Do Google Autofill and Instant Search affect Adwords' Keyword Tool reports?
While performing keyword research around the term "windows", I noticed the keyword "windo" gets 18,000 global monthly searches with .23 competition. Why is this? Do y'all think the Google Autofill and Instant Search features affect reports generated by using the Google Adwords keyword tool? For example, if a user starts typing a search query only to find the site they were looking for before they finished typing the search query, does Google count the partial keyword the user never finished typing into the Adwords Keyword report? I've always wondered about this. Sometimes I find it tempting to attack a misspelled keyword because of the massive search volume and low competition for that keyword. I realize that many consumers may not be very good at spelling, and this may reflect a large search volume towards a misspelled keyword. On the other hand, I see this trend of high volume, misspelled keywords many times while performing keyword research for a variety of clients. Thanks.
