I need your help about backlinks
-
Hello everyone,
If your website is in English and if you have backlinks in different language website, does it still affect the SEO in a good way or the websites that you have backlinks has to be in English for getting better position on SEO?
I look forward to your answers.

Hi!
I agree with Chris. As long as Google is able to tell that the links should be pointing to your website, and aren't some sort of spammy link scheme, then having links from websites in other languages is fine!
Just make sure that the websites you are getting these links from are relevant and have a high domain authority so they will pass on the link juice to your website.

From my understanding, it doesn't really matter so long as the links from foreign language sites makes sense.
For example if you're a travel company specialising in trips to Japan, it would make perfect sense for you to have a number of links from Japanese sites (still keeping them relevant to what you do).
On the other hand, if you're a local plumber servicing a 50mi radius around Las Vegas, a large volume of links from Japanese sites seems a little fishy. Maybe a small number from supplier sites or something but that's about it.
The overarching rules of (white hat) link building don't really change with the language; build links from strong and relevant websites and search engines should understand that relevance just fine.

Why no backlinks from popular local news portals?
Hi friends. I build link portfolio for local businesses and found out that publishing payed news articles in biggest local news portals we never see backlinks coming from these portals. Interesting is that these articles even appears in google search. Backlinks is correct with anchor text. How is it even possible? For example latest article https://www.delfi.lv/bizness/komerczinas/kravu-parvadajumi-ar-temperaturas-rezimu-lielakie-izaicinajumi.d?id=52924741 or this https://www.tvnet.lv/7092731/es-ierobezojumu-ietekme-uz-kravu-parvadajumiem Stuff swears there is no restrictions. They even asked extra money for google indexing. You can see there is correct link in article. Any suggestion or idea how is this possible would be highly appreciated.

Advice needed; Scrap mature .co.uk and move to .com, or run two separate domains?
Asked before, we have a .co.uk domain name and it has grown with rankings over many years with many quality links made to it. Since, we also have acquired the .com of our agency brand, and want to also focus on US market - something hard to do with a UK domain. However, we aren't sure which route to go from here... Should we keep the .co.uk active and allow that to focus on the UK market, and grow the .com from scratch with a site that looks the same with slightly different content and interlink the two with regional flags. Or move across to the .com totally and scrap the .co.uk. I know we could do a redirect and save a good number of the links made on the .co.uk, but is that worth even doing? And what would the risk be of having two sites the same with similar content? Since this isn't an area I've dealt with before, we are interested to get some real advice to understand which decision is right given the scenario.

Does having 3 city's in my Title Tag help or hurt me?
Hello!! I have a health insurance agency located in a small city. I need to reach more area's, and I'm wondering if adding a couple more cities to the Title Tag actually helps? Or should I go the other route and try achieving it with location landing pages? I've seen other websites do it, but I'm hesitant. Any advice welcome 🙂 The site is http://wilkersoninsuranceagency.com/ in Coppell, Tx It currently ranks 3rd on Google. Thank you in advance!! 🙂 xx

SOS: NEED 70 Initial Users in 7 Days
Hi guys, I'm co-founding a company called Comp'd and we're currently in the final leg of an accelerator program right now. Our demo day is one week from today and we got our product out later than we would have liked. Long story short we need to get 70 new/initial users within the next 7 days or we're screwed. I'm asking anyone and everyone I possibly can for help. If you have any advice on specific things that I can be doing to make this goal happen, please share, I'll take any and every idea I can get. Some background on the product: -The product is a $25/mo subscription for unlimited concert tickets. We're also offering users their first month for $10 for easier onboarding. Also, we have the economics of this worked out, so those aren't a concern from a business perspective. -website at compdapp.com if you want to take a look. -Currently only available in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska (though neither is a traditional "big" city like New York or Chicago, they're still cities with populations of 250,000-450,000 with thriving/busy downtown districts). -We've got about $7,000 in capital right now and are willing to spend what we need to. If you have any other questions just let me know, otherwise I'd really appreciate your ideas on how I should be spending my time to get users. This is an emergency situation and I'm willing to do whatever I have to to make this happen. Thanks guys! P.S. I know everyone's primary focus here is obviously online marketing, but we're all still marketers here, and if you have offline marketing ideas I'm more than open to hearing those as well, particularly if they can offer a quick or instant turnaround.

Do Press Releases help ranking?
Sorry to bring up this question again. I have done a ton of reading on it and most of it shows me that it is not a good idea: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-press-release-links-16136.html

We're trying to determine if we should continue doing these. PPC keywords and locations help
Hi. I have a client who is looking to target locations. In their PPC campaigns they have generic keywords such as web design but the campaigns are location based so Surrey, Kent etc... Would they be better to target UK wide but use localised keywords such as Web design surrey? Also in your view, is the Display Network worth it for a small business competing against cheaper/bigger services/companies? Any views be great. Thanks

Is there a tool out there that can help me determine how people in a particular area search for things?
I'm attempting to create geo-specific landing pages for a client. For example if I'm targeting southern Milwaukee very specifically I'd have to target Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, Bay View, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to create landing pages for every one of those. Is there a tool to help with this issue? The tool I use right now is this http://www.5minutesite.com/local_keywords.php I like it for getting the names of every city/village/town in the area. However, it doesn't answer the nagging question ... how do people search for services in those areas?
