Backlink From Different Language Sites Will Spoil My Ranking?
-
Hi there!
Excited to joining this community.
The main question is that if I get backlinks from different language sites then that backlink will be worthy or non-worthy in the eye of search engine? I know if I target international market by presenting my content in different languages then of course it will be worthwhile for me. But what will be happened if I do not represent content in different languages on my site but get the backlines from other language sites such as: Chinese, Russian or any other? Also I have seen many sites which are getting backlinks from different language sites and they are just getting high authority. Is there any expert?
-
There's no use in getting backlinks from different languages unless your site talks about languages, travelling, political issues in that particular country etc. The link has to look natural and Google has to make the judgement that it's valuable for your visitor. It also depends on your TLD (.com, .co.uk, .ru). If your visitors are mostly from Pakistan, there is usually no value in backlinks from Mexico for example. Moreover, you risk getting spammy links and thus hurting your rankings.

Also I have seen many sites which are getting backlinks from different language sites and they are just getting high authority. Those aren't penalized. what's happening with them?
-
As always will depend on how you do it!
If you do it in a healthy way, you will not be penalized and you will be great for the blog.
On the contrary, as discussed above, it is possible that they consider it as SPAM if you do it improperly and it is much worse

I would avoid trying to get links from off language sites as there is a greater chance, that even if relevant, those links will be considered spam links by search engines. Now if you have multiple language tags onto your site (but no url changes) then you may be ok, but if your content is only in one language, you should try to get links from sites also in that language.

Is The Moz Community Rankings broken?
Not as active as I would have liked recently but still visit and login, answering a question now and again, yet I can see my profile is still listed as unranked. until recently I was somewhere around 45-49 and have been for many years - the criteria appears to be what it has for the last ten years or so. I see people with lower moz points outranking members with far more points. I can even see one with 0 points now appearing in the top 50 so my question is - is the moz community rankings broken or have I missed something? I know once before I pointed it out and it had to be fixed...input from all welcome 🙂

SSL for the entire site?
Hej, I wonder if anyone can recommend to make the entire site using SSL? Are there any negative aspects to make a whole site SSL encrypted?

I changed the {Site Name} of our domain by capitalizing a letter. 48 hours later our SEO rankings are bad. How long does it take to rebound our prior rankings. The {site name} was at the end of every page title.
I changed the {Site Name} of our domain slightly and capitalized a letter. The impact 48 hours later on SEO is really, really bad. How long does it take to recapture our prior rankings and should I change the site name back to the original? The {site name} was at the end of every page title. Thanks for any help/advice on this. We worked so hard to get our business on the first page for many keywords and "POOF" we are gone now.

Index Page Dropped From Rankings
On average my site was getting ranked 3rd for "Tucson DUI Lawyer", Best Tucson DUI Lawyer, Tucson DUI attorney and etc. Recently my website fell for all of these keywords and I thought it is the best time to launch the new website. The problem is that my internal pages show up for some of the keywords on the third or fourth page but my index page doesn't show for any of them. Does it have anything to do with the site structure ? I have a lot of news excerpts on the homepage with links to the main posts. Here is the link: http://www.michaelharwinlaw.com/ Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Site for my clients to log in and see their traffic, etc.
I have done a ton of research and I am struggling to find an easy to use, easy to understand site / tool that will allow my clients to log in and see basic information about their website traffic, rankings, referring sites, etc. in an ATTRACTIVE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND layout. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Seomoz (my true favorite) Raven, webceo, and so many others are powerful tools - I don't need that, just looking for an attractive place to log in and view their stats, that's it. Thank you - have a great rest of the week! Matthew

WP Permalinks, categories, and organic ranking impact
Hello. this is my first post here, so I hope it to be a question with an easy answer... I am working on a site that has an established domain, but has recently suffered significant ranking decline. one of the problems I have found involves over-use of categories and tags - making the actual content 3 to 4 clicks deep within any given post URL. My question involves the restructuring of category / tag use for improved page content and SEO organic rank impact. Here is an example: domain.com/blue-shoes/blue-shoes-tampa I want to target this specific post and optimize for "blue shoes tampa". I have used the Wordpress SEO plugin by Yoast to help achieve balanced optimization on the on-page post content itself, but now am struggling with the best approach for the URL... also, the site has about 80 (62 posts and 18 pages) total items with similar issues, , so I am hoping that any answer / opinion offered here might also be applicable to the rest of the site. thanks in advance for your time & comments.

Keyword research in 5 different countries. Advice and tips?
Hi guys, We have been asked to research keywords in 5 different countries, Australia, India, South Korea, Brazil, Singapore (4 different languages inc. Portuguese, Korean, English, Indian). Being that I have never conducted keyword research outside of English, I thought maybe you guys could: 1. Point me in the direction of consultants/freelancers who can research terms in those languages. 2. Suggest tips one should bear in mind when designing an SEO strategy for multi-national websites (such as the different SE's used in countries and cultural-behavioral differences) Any articles, guides, tools etc. that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
