Reproducing RSS feed
-
How can i reproduce RSS feed from another website to my website ?
-
It's suggested you do so with permission from the site owner, or make sure the content is not copyright. If you're just copying the contents of another site to your site, that's not OK. I believe there are any number of software plugins that will enable you to do this, but first step back and make sure that it's something that will add value and not just be duplicate content.

Should comments and feeds be disallowed in robots.txt?
Hi My robots file is currently set up as listed below. From an SEO point of view is it good to disallow feeds, rss and comments? I feel allowing comments would be a good thing because it's new content that may rank in the search engines as the comments left on my blog often refer to questions or companies folks are searching for more information on. And the comments are added regularly. What's your take? I'm also concerned about the /page being blocked. Not sure how that benefits my blog from an SEO point of view as well. Look forward to your feedback. Thanks. RSS aggregators
Does anyone have opinions on syndication of blog posts through aggregators? With a good internal link strategy in place, will the links generated by submitting our RSS feeds to sites like http://www.rssmotron.com/ have a positive effect on our rankings?

Accepting RSS feeds. Does it = duplicate content?
Hi everyone, for a few years now I've allowed school clients to pipe their news RSS feed to their public accounts on my site. The result is a daily display of the most recent news happening on their campuses that my site visitors can browse. We don't republish the entire news item; just the headline, and the first 150 characters of their article along with a Read more link for folks to click if they want the full story over on the school's site. Each item has it's own permanent URL on my site. I'm wondering if this is a wise practice. Does this fall into the territory of duplicate content even though we're essentially providing a teaser for the school? What do you think?
