How to utilize Moz during website relaunch?
-
Hi folks - we're relaunching our website and have been sure to make it SEO optimized -- descriptive copy, new readable URLs, keyword-laden page metadata, and the like.
However, I'm new to Moz Pro and unsure how to utilize it during this transition. My questions for those of you -- assuming many -- who have gone through a redesign:
**How did you use Moz to track the success of your redesigned website? What do you wish you'd done? **
Any campaigns or resources you can suggest will be helpful, as I am new to the functionality!

Awesome, thank you, George! Luckily we're already doing a lot of this stuff, e.g. we agonized last week over a list of 400+ redirects
It's helpful to know what to expect as well - I'll be sure to work these items into our pre/post-launch planning.

Big topic!
Great that you are thinking intentionally about this now, rather than jumping on here asking why your organic traffic has flatlined post launch. I have attached an internal doc we have that gives a checklist of things to do a consider to mitigate disaster.
Big picture, MOZ is great for keeping an eye on the keywords that drive traffic and see where you are losing ground post launch. More details in the attachment. GL!

Looking for a MOZ pro to hire
Just got MOZ pro and need someone to look things over and give me a list of things to do first. When everyone claims to be an expert online. Any suggestions on who to hire or use?

Google results not close to matching MOZ PA and SA - Why?
I'm trying to convince a boss and another client/partner of the value of MOZ, but it's a challenge when Google's results and the MOZ analytics are way off. For example, when I do non-personalized (MOZ toolbar) Google search for "stair lift kansas city" I see some results that make sense. Further down the page I see my prospective client, kclift.com -- it's a new site with poor MOZ grades and almost no backlinks. It has a PA of 1 and a DA of 4. Yet it ranks above a YP site that has a DA of 89, and another site that has a PA of 27 and a DA of 14. What gives? When I used an in-private Bing search for those terms this site didn't display in the 1st 4 pages. That makes sense with these MOZ rankings and the new site. So how does the site get page 1 results on Google for the same terms? (I should note that I've gone to this site a lot, for the client, and done other related searches. I live in Charlotte, which is why I've included Kansas City in the search terms. With this search, I've tried several ways to do a Google search that is truly anonymous, but I'm not sure I've succeeded. I've erased browsing data, used incognito, used other browsers, and used the MOZ non-personalized Google search. All from the same IP though. Does Google track that? If so, how can one do a truly anonymous search on Google?) All suggestions welcome. Thanks! Richard S.

Perplexed - Errors increasing, moz rank dropping, conflicting data from other sources. Please Help.
Hi there, I'm in a bit of a bind and could seriously do with some help. For the past month I've been working with a client to resolve errors onsite. In that period my moz rank has plummeted and my errors (dupe title & content) have increased dramatically. The correlation makes sense, the increase - not so much. Here's why, screaming frog is reporting that the majority of duplicate titles have been removed or dealt with. I've also got the assurance of the developer that the suggested changes are being implemented. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the CMS - umbraco - and this is the first time I'm working with this particular developer, so I'm not sure how to gauge progress without using moz tools. So, here are my immediate questions: 1. Why would I get different results from Screaming Frog and Rogerbot? 2. Has anyone here been in a similar situation and could they recommend areas to watch for errors creeping in? 3. Is there a way of identifying which errors have occurred when? Narrowing it down to the week each error occurred would be good enough. 4. Is anybody aware of any inherent SEO flaws in umbraco or common SEO mistakes made using the CMS? 5. is there anything I could provide you with to help you help me? 6. Do you have a suggestion? I'm pretty stuck. Thanks in advance.

Why is moz saying I have a 404 error?
I recently asked a question on here about how to fix my 404 error. I figured it out, and now webmaster tools says it's not there any more. This as been confirmed by keeping watch for about a week now. But Moz just crawled my site today and is for some reason showing an error. Am i missing something here or is Moz a little slow sometimes?
