Duplicate content found in scan
-
On June 8th we ran a Moz Crawl on our site. We found 144 pages that were flagged with duplicate content.
Again on June 13th we ran another moz crawl on our site and found 137 pages that were flagged with duplicate content. Then one final scan on June 22nd with 161 pages of duplicate content. After comparing the 3 different scans I see that, without making any changes, pages that were not flagged as duplicate content are now being flagged as duplicate content. While at the same time, pages that were originally flagged as duplicate content are now no longer showing up with duplicate content. I could understand if we made some changes to these pages but no changes were made.
For example: On the 8th this page was flagged as duplicate content - https://www.stickylife.com/star-magnet
On the 13th and 22nd it was not flagged as duplicate content but no changes were made to that page. For reference it was flagged as duplicate content with the following page: https://www.stickylife.com/baseball-glove-magnet This page was also Not changed or altered between between these dates. In addition, when Moz scans our site through our campaign every Friday the results do not match what we see when we do a manual scan. Moz's weekly scan only reveals 14 pages with duplicate content as opposed to the numbers you see above.
Why such inconsistencies in the Moz Scans?

Are there any tricks for checking duplicate content?
Hello all, My MOZ weekly scan keeps coming back with indication for duplicate content on pages that don't have that much alike. I feel like I must be missing something. Is there any place I can plug in two urls so that it would tell me what the similarities are and figure out how to make it less of a duplicate content? https://www.stage32.com/happy-writers/pitch-sessions/Pitch-Amar-Hansen-Saturday-October-29th-2016

Duplicate Content on Website with Multiple Locations
Hi there, I've spent hours reading posts on duplicate content and googling this but I'm still not sure what to do. We created a site that has two WP installs for a company with two different locations - the landing page is website.com and links to WP install 1 (website.com/city1), and WP install 2 (website.com/city2). They specifically wanted two different sites so they could be managed by staff at either location. However some of the pages have the same content - ie. services, policies, etc. so all of those are showing errors for duplicate content. All pages have different city-specific URL's and meta-descriptions but that clearly doesn't help. We can't redirect the "duplicate" pages because then it would take the user to the other city's specific site. Is there anything we can do?? Is this going to significantly damage rankings? Thanks kindly for any help you can provide.

Why is the exact same URL being seen as duplicate and showing an error in my SEO reports
Well, I am still having duplicate page issues. I have a question about one of the errors SEO is giving me when I download a crawl report. I am going to attach a screen shot of part of the report so you can see for yourself, along with explaining it here. SEO shows the list of URL's that it crawled in the report. In this(see attachment) portion of the report it has 321 results for the exact same URL. It also says all of these exact same URL's have received a 404 error. What I want to know is how does it make 321 results for the same URL? And with this error that I don't see when I look at the page? 0hkRDST

Duplicate page content/page titles on tages
Hello everyone. New to the community and loving it already. Question, I am receiving an error of 6 pages with duplicate content and page titles. A majority of these are tag pages. Should I be worried about these? IN the column listed duplicate urls it is listing 0 ( screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/azvuVk0ucWt) Are these tags a problem? Will SEO be hurt because of this? What are TAG pages? Actually pages, categories, should I eliminate these?

Duplicate page titles
Hi -- A crawl tells me I have 200 duplicate page titles. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me what those pages are duplicating. What do I do with this information? How do I begin to respond? Thanks

I t would be great to have some insight before i go back to them. Thanks again for your help Regards Pete Capture.jpg

Dupe content report showing in 'Errors' section when surely should be in 'Warnings' section ?
Why is the dupe content info showing in errors and not warnings ? Since if dupe content can get your site penalised (as per Panda) or worse banned, surely it should be in that section of reports ? Cheers

Moz Dupe content crawl anomaly
Hi Moz has completed a crawl for a site i'm working on which also has a development area (hence with lots of dupe content) on a sub domain (and this dev area hasn't been hidden from crawlers via password, robots, gwt etc etc). Moz dupe content report is not showing any of these urls though even though my campaign setting is on 'root' domain so i would have thought report should be listing the subdomain urls as dupe content (because they are dupe content). Any ideas ? Cheers Dan
