Did you optimize images (make them smaller in size)? Is the traffic real? Spam hits will not utilize data like a real person on your site. Also google could be serving cached pages so the information is not as large as downloading your actual assets from your site.

Are you seeing less traffic or maybe the pages being visited have less content to download. Need more information to give you specific answers.

Is there a limit on back linking per week

I know the ratio matters of follow/no follow when it comes to backlinks/inbound but also if there is a high volume of them per week, it can be flagged as spammy. Is there a limit on how many backlinks can be done in a week for a domain? I am talking backlinks from high domain authority low spam links. Media/blog sites.

Crawl Stats Decline After Site Launch (Pages Crawled Per Day, KB Downloaded Per Day)

Hi all, I have been looking into this for about a month and haven't been able to figure out what is going on with this situation. We recently did a website re-design and moved from a separate mobile site to responsive. After the launch, I immediately noticed a decline in pages crawled per day and KB downloaded per day in the crawl stats. I expected the opposite to happen as I figured Google would be crawling more pages for a while to figure out the new site. There was also an increase in time spent downloading a page. This has went back down but the pages crawled has never went back up. Some notes about the re-design: URLs did not change Mobile URLs were redirected Images were moved from a subdomain (images.sitename.com) to Amazon S3 Had an immediate decline in both organic and paid traffic (roughly 20-30% for each channel) I have not been able to find any glaring issues in search console as indexation looks good, no spike in 404s, or mobile usability issues. Just wondering if anyone has an idea or insight into what caused the drop in pages crawled? Here is the robots.txt and attaching a photo of the crawl stats. Homepage keeps disappearing and reappearing for important keywords every few days

My homepage keeps disappearing from the SERPS for my most important keywords. My home page has been in number 2 position for years. When the home page disappears it will not even show in a Google search for my business name although it is still indexed. When the home page is not showing an internal page shows instead but in position 6. When the home page is back the internal page does not show. There are no issues being reported in Google Webmaster. When I realise that it's down I do a fetch as Google and request reindexing. No idea if this is bringing it back or not? We are so worried about this and totally at a loss. Download all GSC crawl errors: Possible today?

Hey guys: I tried to download all the crawl data from Google Search Console using the API and solutions like this one: https://github.com/eyecatchup/php-webmaster-tools-downloads but seems that is not longer working (or I made something wrong, I just receive a blank page when running the PHP file after some load time)... I needed to download more than 1.000 URLs long time ago, so I didn't tried to use this method since then. Is there any other solution using the API to grab all the crawl errors, or today this is not possible anymore? Thanks!

Local SEO Plus Performance Based Pay Per Call Multiple Phone Numbers

In my learning about Local SEO recently, I keep reading the importance of NAP (name, address, phone number). But what if you are only using different phone numbers because you are tracking pay per call. How would set up my Local SEO strategy? The newest phone numbers are NOT going to match all the websites, social media and previous listing in directories, etc. Is this a bad move? Should I suggest that we do one or the other going forward with other clients but not both? Thanks a lot...
