Want to get site on same sub-folder but move CMS
-
Hi guys,
We currently have a site which uses WordPress & attached to it is a Woocommerce for its store.
We want to just move the store to shopify, but keep the blog on wordpress.
We also want to keep the same URL structure for the store the same e.g.
www.website.com/store (woocommerce) to www.website.com/store (shopify)
Is this even possible?
Can you point a domain to two separate servers (servers – one for wordpress, one on shopify) at the same time?
This is SEO related as we want to preserve the authority as a sub-folder. See this: https://inbound.org/blog/the-sub-domain-vs-sub-directory-seo-debate-explained-in-one-flow-chart
Cheers.

How big is your store? By far the easiest way to manage this is to use Shopify's WordPress plugin for inserting a Shopify store into a WordPress site. Here's a decent rundown of the pros/cons and process. Once in pace, you could use 301-redirects for any URL changes to shop URLs to transfer authority of old shop pages to new ones.
Would that method work for you?

Moving to a new domain
We currently rank well in our niche on a long (and ambiguous) domain, but want to rebrand and have a shorter and more memorable domain. Keeping in mind we're already pointing good links at the new domain (301ing them to the old site), how long should we age the domain before switching the content and 301ing the old site?

Redirection to mobile site
Calling all SEO ninjas! I'm currently developing single web pages for various clients which function as abbreviated versions of their main websites. They are all related & under a single domain. When a user visits these pages on a mobile device, CSS is used to display mobile friendly versions of these pages. My clients are thrilled with these mobile versions and now want to also redirect mobile visitors from their main site (which is not mobile optimised) to these pages. My questions are: Are there any negative implications if we did this? ie. redirecting to a different domain What is the best method for redirection? eg. JavaScript Can this be achieved by adding a single line of code to their main site Can this be done in an SEO friendly way so that the redirection acts like a backlink? Many thanks.

Issues in Migrating to CMS
My number one client is migrating a formerly HTML/Dreamweaver site to an open source CMS (CMS Made Simple.) We have execellent rankings right now, and I am concerned about what we will lose, and how to ensure the rankings stay. Any guidance? I have already asked the developer to maintain the page names and structure, and tag the CMS output pages.htm . I've run a few weak spiders over the staged CMS site, and all the pages are being picked up. What else can I do, we are getting ready to launch. THANKS!

Site speed - query
When you say site speed, does it mean speed of loading of each of the pages of the website or speed of home page loading. What do site speed tools measure ?
