LSI has never been a real thing, this according to Bill Slawski...http://www.seobythesea.com/2018/01/google-use-latent-semantic-indexing/
-
ok thank you, it is like the bolded words when you do a search on google.
-
Is there a difference?
LSIkeywords are semantically related, these are the keywords that Google is using for latent semantic indexing.
-
Thank you both for your replies.
One more thing isn’t keyword explorer a mix of lsi and semantically related keywords ?
Looking at the keywords I have a feeling it is a combination of the two.

Yeah I would highly recommend the Keyword Suggestions within Moz's Keyword Explorer.
Utilizing "People Also Ask" feature on a Google SERP can also be helpful for identifying semantic keywords.
Also, not entirely related, but found this recent twitter thread from Rand interesting on topical keywords / LSI: https://twitter.com/randfish/status/947959624858079232

1. MOZ Keyword Explorer. Keywords Suggestions.
2. Serpstat's "cluster research" feature
3. Ahrefs' "Also rank for" feature. These tools take the keyword you enter.
Check which pages rank for this keyword.
Analyze every page on that list to see what other keywords they rank for.
Compare keyword lists from each page to see which keywords they have in common. If there are a lot of pages from that list that rank for certain keywords these keywords will be provided as semantically connected.
For example. you enter a keyword like "wheels fitment", out of 100 pages that rank for this keyword 50 pages also rank in top-100 for the "stance" keyword. Therefore "stance" is semantically connected to "wheels fitment".

Connecting long tail keywords to pages
New to Moz and this forum, so be gentle. 🙂 I’m in the process of overhauling a generally neglected website and have just finished some research on long tail keywords. My question is, how do I implement these? For example, I’ve got a product “Acme Widget” which has its own page on the site (and ranking well for the product name itself). I have lots of long tail keyword sets which describe key benefits of the products – some of which appear in the product copy, others which don’t (perhaps because the thing that a user may search for is ugly/bad-English in copy). For the sake of argument, let’s say I have the following long tail keywords for my Acme Widgets. cheap red widget los angleles widget strong green widgets florida What is the best way to implement these? Do I need to simply incorporate the text into my main Acme Widgets page, or do I need to have separate pages which are highly targeted to each long tail keyword? The problem with the former is unnatural/ugly copy. The problem with the latter is that coming up with enough content to justify (and rank) a page on each keyword set would be quite a challenge. ALT attribute keyword on the same image but different pages
Hi there, As i'm sure you're probably aware, moz advises to use a keyword within the ALT attribute on pages... On a new website I am launching, I have the ability to add an alt keyword to image headers. On multiple pages we have the exact same image but with different keywords associated them inside the alt attribute. The image itself is a collage of different images and so the keywords used can, quite sneakily, match the image. My question is therefore, will using different keywords on the same image on different pages have a negative effect on SEO? Thanks, Stuart

Advice and Opinions Required Regarding creating new pages for similar keywords
We are currently in the process of creating new pages for keywords very similar to our main landing pages. Example: Page 1.) "Family Holiday in {Location}" Page 2.) "Family Vacation in {Location}" Page 3.) "Family get-away in {location}" All 3 keywords are currently optimised for the 1st page "Family Holidays in {Location}" but was wondering if there is any benefit or if its worth creating sub pages for these alternative keywords. I personally don't think we should do this as Google will know to rank our main page for secondary/synonym keywords via on page seo and links with anchor text, but can you foresee any negative aspects if we went ahead and created these children pages being linked to from the top level keyword's page? Or do we continue optimising our main landing page for related/synonym keywords? Thanks in Advance GREG

Keyword rankings improve but traffic doesn't
I am working on a couple of SEO projects and have noticed over the past couple of months that the keywords rankings have improved immensely with most of them amongst top 10 on google, but still the traffic on the website doesn't improve much. Can somebody explain me the possible reasons behind this, and what can I do to attract more traffic?

Would this be considered keyword cannabalization?
If I have an article, titled 7 signs of unhealthy eating and the title tag for five different pages looks like this: keyword | article title ex: Binge Eating | 7 Signs of Unhealthy Eating ex: Lack of Fruits & Vegetables | 7 Signs of Unhealthy Eating etc, etc.
