Is using "-" in the title of a page to seperate targeted keywords bad for seo purposes?

For example "Dog-Leashes"
Is that bad if I'm targeting dog leashes as my keywords.

I've seen keywords separated with - and | and even >, and in my opinion, the separator you use shouldn't affect search rankings. It may have an impact on click through rates within any given search engine result page, so you should try to find the one that is most visually appealing.
Also, in general I like to try to be a bit more creative than "KEYWORD1 | KEYWORD2 | KEYWORD3 - SITENAME". In my opinion, something like "KEYWORD1 and KEYWORD2 Tips and Advice, at SITENAME" is much better. It feels less spammy, and I'm convinced results in a higher CTR. I think most people are trending this way, lately: considering the user a bit more than the search engines. I don't think you could have said the same thing a few years back.

Hello Jake!
In your title is good that you use the keyword the same form that people search in the SE's.
So, you should use <title></em>Dog Leashes .... <em></title> , and as you may know, the more to the left is better.
Otherwise, in your URL, it's recommended that, if a keyword has two separated words, you use "-".

Coworker and I see totally different keyword volumes on same paid keyword planner account
My coworker and I are both connected to the same company's paid keyword planner account but are using our own individual google accounts to log in. When I look up the keyword "joint bank account" I get a search volume of 9,900, while she gets a search volume of 2,900. Does anyone know why this might be? Do we know which might be more accurate? This doesn't seem to be connected to Google lumping semantic variations together. I've seen it happen way before that update. Targeting newly identified keywords with Landing Pages
Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice... A number of my client's websites have been ranking well for a group of keywords for some time and now through further keyword research I wish to broaden out the number of keywords the site targets using landing pages eg, a printer company ranks well for 'flyer printing' but also wants to rank for 'nightclub flyers'. My questions are:

Ranking a homepage for keywords
We recently found a handful of keywords we would like our homepage to rank for (for example - customer experience). On our homepage we have articles (4-5 posted daily) that feature the keywords we are targeting (one being customer experience). How do the keywords we are using in our daily articles that are posted to the homepage affect the overall keyword ranking for the homepage? In other words do the keywords used in the articles (title, first 2-3 paragraphs, meta description, etc.) all roll up/build up to the homepage's keywords or how does that work?

II'm a little confused by how the SEO Moz keywords relate to our page keywords. Should all the keywords we put in SEO Moz be in our page keywords? Can our SEO Moz keywords span the kepywords of severla pages or do we need ot tighten up and only use 5 for example keywords in SEO Moz and on our pages? Thanks!

Question about keyword analysis
I am working on a keyword analysis for a range of keywords. I want to target these keywords in the Denver market. I know if you search google for something like "IT Support" and you are located in Denver it knows where you are and caters the results to be more Denver IT Support oriented. I did notice that those results are different than if you search for "Denver IT Support" My pages are optimized for the Denver market and the keyword like "IT Support" but I am a bit confused on how I should be doing my research into keywords. Should I be putting Denver into all my keyword analysis research even though I still want to rank for just the keyword when they are searching from the Denver area. I hope this all makes sense. I guess I just need some guidance on how to deal with the location specifics of my keywords. Thanks in advance for any help.
