HTTP or HTTPs for competitor URLs?
-
When setting up my competitors, should I use their http or https URLs?
Thank you!
-
IF the webmaster has everything set correctly, you should use http. If you use https and it's not secure it's broken, they should have http and www. all pointing to the secured version

Great. Thanks.
What about "example.com" versus "www.example.com"? Is the "www" needed?
-
Hey Erik, Dave from the help team here,
HTTP is best, adding the protocol isn't even necessary, we will auto default it.
example.com will end up http://example.com
Hope that helps!

If they have an SSL, I would use their https site, or you can just visit their website and copy and past whatever version displays.

901 error code showing url back to back in crawl
Hi Everyone, I'm absolutely dumbfounded about this 901 issue (showing pages with our url back to back). Our site is hosted on Big Commerce: https://www.santabarbarachocolate.com When I look for these pages being crawled I don't find them. I've called BC for help and I can't seem to find a solution or where to turn as to how to fix the issue at hand or even if it matters. Please see below what the Moz crawl shows. Could this be related to Yotpo or some app we have running? Or does this even matter and does it have any influence on rank? Do you have recommendations or ideas? Thanks so much. Fixing Non-Valid URL - Oops! This does not appear to be a valid URL. Please try again.
Edit - Turns out I can't delete a question. I ended up finding out I'm supposed to email the Moz team at help@moz.com. I did a search regarding the issue, but I only found answers for people using AWS. The results say the .htaccess isn't setup correctly, but I don't know how to fix that file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

'not a valid url' error in campaign set up
I get the error not a valid url when I'm trying to set up a campaign. I know it's a valid url. I have tried with www, non-www, http://, https:// when I do the https it lets me start, but then I get an error that https is forwarding to http and I need to use that. When I then put in the http, I get the original error. thanks in advance for your help.

MozBar URL Flag shows wrong country
My site has been up for about 6 months, and is visible on google (http://www.forforce.com.br/). Even when searching for my exact brand name "For Force Suplementos", using google brazil from Curitiba (the stores physical city) I show up on page 3, so I'm obviously doing something wrong. I just today started looking into SEO. And we haven't done anything to earn a penalty. (There's no links actually anywhere but our facebook page to us, which I know is a problem I need to work on). Anyway, I just signed up for a MozPro subscription, and installed the MozBar. Looking at the On-Page elements, next to the URL, I see a U.S. flag, and am wondering if that is part of my problem. The site is physically hosted in the U.S., so maybe that's where the flag comes from (Quality) hosting is too expensive in Brazil). Is this something I should be worried about? I also am using CloudFlare to help speed up the site, which I don't think has a Brazil POP. Thanks in advance for any advice! -Eric
