Debt Collectors – Debt Collection Agency Melbourne

      Hi Moz Community

One of our client website JMA Credit (https://www.jmacreditcontrol.com.au/ )

We have installed Business Review Bundle Wordpress plugin to display our Google Reviews on our website. https://richplugins.com/business-reviews-bundle-wordpress-plugin

Enabled Rich snippet option – to display aggregate rating

Schema code available on the source

Also, tested on structured data testing tool – it shows everything is fine https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jmacreditcontrol.com.au

But, Aggregate rating (star) not displayed on the SERP Page Waiting for valuable response to get this issue fixed

First of all, I notice 2 main errors the first one is related to the installation of the snippet code, you have repeated the local business schemas. I assume that this is generated by 2 different sources. Checking your code the error is created by the overlapping of the SEO Yoast plugin and Review plugin.

The second error that I notice is the JSON-LD code generated by the review plugin which generates 22 errors

"Multiple reviews should be accompanied by an aggregate rating". so basically there is no rating on the JSON-LD

I strongly suggest you read this documentation

        • https://schema.org/Review

Also is important to be familiar with the JSON-LD syntax

        https://json-ld.org/spec/latest/json-ld/

I worked on several projects integrating schemas. So in my opinion, the best way to do that is by using **Google Tag Manager+ Custom Code. Why? because that gives you full control over your schemas  **

How and where to implement the AggregateRating schema?

I've been trying to wrap my head around marking up various bits of information for a local business website, and I want to make sure I understand a few things. If I understand Google's schema guidelines, marked up reviews should only appear on the page of a specific product, not every page, and _definitely _not the homepage, correct? Does this also mean that the LocalBusiness schema that is on every page should **not **use the AggregateRating parameter? And if the AR is only to be put on certain pages, what page should it go on if the business in question provides a service rather than selling specific products? In other words, situations where the local business _itself _is the "product" being reviewed/rated. Individual reviews cannot be taken from 3rd party sites (GMB, Facebook, Yelp, etc) and posted on your website with capital R Review schema (http://schema.org/Review). That markup is only to be used for reviews that have been generated on/for your site specifically. Does this also mean that the numbers used to calculate an AggregateRating have to be unique as well? In other words, if there are 10 reviews of your business on Facebook that average at 4.5/5, you can't take those individual reviews and post them on your site as marked up Reviews. But can you use that "4.5/5 based on 10 reviews" information in the AggregateRating schema? Can AggregateRating scores include ratings from different sources? In other words, if there were 10 ratings on Facebook and 20 on Yelp, could the AggregateRating be marked on the website as "__/5 based on 30 ratings"? If I can simply take the numerical average and pop that into the LocalBusiness JSON markup that goes on every page automatically, alongside the other basic business info like name, phone number, and address, this will make things much easier. Thanks!

3rd Party Approved Reviews - Widget or API Feed - Any thoughts ?

Hi Mozzers, We use a google approved 3rd party review company to collect reviews for our branches and now also for our products( this is about to be implemented). We currently use one of their widgets on our site (its javascript) to show the reviews. I don't think google can read this and  I don't think we currently, therefore, get any direct seo benefit from it. My questions are as follows : I obviously want to get any SEO benefit from any review text which customers leave but as the data itself is housed on the review site with a widget on my site pointing to it,should I use an API feed as opposed to a widget. If google can read the review text on my page - then surely i should some benefit from it even though, it could technically be classed as duplicate content what are peoples thoughts ? . thanks Pete

What do the symbols in the profile avatars in Google listing reviews mean?

A client of mine noticed that some of their customers that leave GMB listing reviews have special symbols in their profile avatars (please look at the attachment).   Is this a sign of a influencer? Has anybody else noticed this? r6mhX

Has Anyone Ever Used Nearby Now App for SEO?

Hello Moz World, I was researching different ways to expand a client's SEO beyond his brick and mortar location. I listen to a webinar by Brightlocal on tactics I could use to help improve rankings. (Great Webinar, nothing really relevant till after the 30 minute mark). One of the host recommended an app called Nearby Now which will help a local service provider rank in multiple towns by allowing clients to provide a testimonial in realtime in the city that the service was provided and link it back to the website. I sat down with a customer service rep, and it sounds like its a great low cost solution for service providers to rank outside of their brick and mortar location. My question, Has anyone used it? Have you had a good experience? Can anyone recommend a better app? As always, thank you for your feedback and time. Best Regards, Will H.

Why does Google return 1 star reviews in local listings as the "most helpful"?

I have a client who has recently received two 1 star reviews on Google local (unhappy customer and unhappy customers boyfriend). This is affecting an otherwise flourishing business as these two 1 star reviews are displayed prominently when you search for the brand in Google. They have since received more positive reviews, however Google insists on displaying, what they term, the "most helpful" reviews first. Why are these 1 star reviews deemed "most helpful"? In all honesty, they aren't even really that helpful, with the latter verging on slanderous. We are in the process of reporting this one as it personally attacks a member of staff, however, whilst we tentatively wait weeks for a response, I wondered if anyone has any idea on how G decides which reviews are "most helpful"? When there is no option for other users to rate these reviews as helpful (such as on play store).

Do schema review numbers have to be manually updated?

Hi! I've had success with review schema rendering in SERPs but have had to manually code the numbers and update those numbers as more reviews come in (which is a bit time-consuming). Is there a way to use auto-generated numbers that will still render schema or do those numbers have to be manually added? I've looked at the schema for sites like IMDB, and their schema numbers seem to be manually added, which seems like a huge lift. Advice/input is appreciated!

          Migrating Reviews from Old SIte

We recently changed our Website to Word Press and I would like to move the old reviews to the new site. I am concerned Google might not understand the reviews showing up all of a sudden. The old reviews were on a sub-domain (store.domain.com). I will be able to match the dates and text as well as names. Any advice or Best Practice on this? Thanks!

          Too many reviews too quickly?

Is there any sort of guideline on this? Right now, we have very few google reviews. However, I've cross referenced a list of our happiest clients with people who have g+ accounts. There are at least 12 clients, I feel strongly would write us g+ reviews if I asked them to. I want to just get the word out today, but I'm worried if 8-12 reviews in a week would red flag us. I've heard that getting too many reviews to quickly can be a problem, but I'm thinking that more like 100 than 10, but I have no idea. Most of my competitors don't have any reviews, and the most any of them have is 10. I don't know if that matters at all either in terms of triggering a red flag. I'd appreciate whatever insight you all could give. Thanks, Ruben
