Will putting a one page site up for all other countries stop Googlebot from crawling my UK website?
-
I have a client that only wants UK users to be able to purchase from the UK site.
Currently, there are customers from the US and other countries purchasing from the UK site.
They want to have a single webpage that is displayed to users trying to access the UK site that are outside the UK.
This is fine but what impact would this have on Google bots trying to crawl the UK website?
I have scoured the web for an answer but can't find one. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you're an SEO / marketing person, the likelihood is that you'll need a developers help. They should know what you mean when you ask to exempt a certain user-agent (Googlebot) from the redirects

Is there some guidance on how to do this? I have looked on the web but am struggling to find anything. Thanks

No impact if you exempt Google's user agent ('googlebot') from the redirects. That way Google can crawl properly without it turning into a fiasco (which it will if you don't exempt them, as they sometimes crawl from different data centres - but only one at once - which does have a fixed location)
If you fail to exempt googlebot then they will only see the page which is rendered to the location of the data centre they are crawling from, so they will think your site keeps going up and down, one page then many pages (which will cause a huge mess)
Remember: exempt Google from the redirects or things will get messy

Page Speed/Website Optimization Question
We recently relaunched our website and after running multiple page speed tests (GT Metrix, Google, etc.) our results aren't great. We would love any suggestions on how to improve our site as we are not experts in what exactly these results mean -Â https://gtmetrix.com/reports/loyalty360.org/DKRN0hKg. Thanks!

How does Google Crawl Multi-Regional Sites?
I've been reading up on this on Webmaster Tools but just wanted to see if anyone could explain it a bit better. I have a website which is going live soon which is going to be set up to redirect to a localised URL based on the IP address i.e. NZ IP ranges will go to .co.nz, Aus IP addresses would go to .com.au and then USA or other non-specified IP addresses will go to the .com address. There is a single CMS installation for the website. Does this impact the way in which Google is able to search the site? Will all domains be crawled or just one? Any help would be great - thanks!

2 similar websites targetting different countries
I have a website that has a .com.au extension running on zencart. If I load up the exact same wesbite (with the same website name) on the .com, will my .com.au be penalised by Google? Thanks in advance.

Have a client that migrated their site; went live with noindex/nofollow and for last two SEOMoz crawls only getting one page crawled. In contrast, G.A. is crawling all pages. Just wait?
Client site is 15 + pages. New site had noindex/nofollow removed prior to last two crawls.

One Page - Targeting Multiple Low Searched Keywords.
Hi, First "Question" on SEOmoz, A client has requested me to have all the traffic going to the main/home page. In total its 25 Keywords and competition is pretty low, lets say "Builder In City", all the keywords are the sames except for the citys. "Builder In London" "Builder in Birmingham" Builder in Cardiff" .. and so on. Will it be ok and do-able to target 1 homepage with 25 keywords and expect decent results.

Will Google index a 301 redirect for a new site?
So here is the problem... We have setup a 301redirect for our clients website. When you search the clients name it comes up with the old .co.uk website. We have made this redirect to the new .com website. However on the SERPs when it shows the .co.uk it shows the old title pages which currently say 'Holding Page'. When you click on that link it takes you to the fully functioning .com website. My question is, will the title tags in the SERPs which show the .co.uk update to the new ones from the .com? I'm thinking it will be just a case of Google catching up on things and it will sort itself out eventually. If anyone could help I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks Chris
