Meta data in includes: not ideal or a problem?

I have pages with meta data being pulled in via an include. This was to prevent people from touching the pages themselves. Is this an optimization issue- or is it OK to do?

Just to elaborate on Daylans (totally correct) answer: Any server-side include will be fine, whether its .net, asp or php.

PHP includes are serverside so from a visitor and search engine perspective will render fine to be indexed as if it was straight up HTML.

Source Data -- Order of Page Attributes

Hi everyone, I recently began working on a site with some peculiar things going on in the source code. Namely, the <title>attribute is beneath the <meta description> and <meta keywords> attributes. I checked a number of the client's competitors and found that none of them have the page attributes in the source data ordered like this. Instead, they have the attributes organized more traditionally (as I've usually seen them) in the following order <title>, <meta description>, <meta keywords>. I'm just wondering whether or not this may have any effect on their ability to rank for the desired keyword terms. </title>

Meta HTML tag code

I have been instructed by Moz that I have some missing meta description tags; however, this is what comes up when I searched for more help on this site: "The proper coding for a meta HTML tag is These Meta descriptions can be nested anywhere in the element." Obviously the actual coding is missing... so can anyone tell me what the proper coding for a meta HTML tag is? Thanks!

Data Highlighter doesn't show page

We have an event related website http://www.sbo.nl so i wanted to use data highlighter because most of our event pages are the same. But data highlighter doesn't show those pages, I will see only an empty page. For example http://www.sbo.nl/veiligheid/brandveiligheid-gebouwen/ Does someone of you understand what is going on. Data highlighter does show the homepage. I am thinking it is maybe because of tabbed browsing, or the chat function in that page. Hope someone can help. A problem with duplicate content

I'm kind of new at this. My crawl anaylsis says that I have a problem with duplicate content. I set the site up so that web sections appear in a folder with an index page as a landing page for that section. The URL would look like: www.myweb.com/section/index.php The crawl analysis says that both that URL and its root: www.myweb.com/section/ have been indexed. So I appear to have a situation where the page has been indexed twice and is a duplicate of itself. What can I do to remedy this? And, what steps should i take to get the pages re-indexed so that this type of duplication is avoided? I hope this makes sense! Any help gratefully received. Iain

ECommerce site - Duplicate pages problem.

We have an eCommerce site with multiple products being displayed on a number of pages. We use rel="next" and rel="prev" and have a display ALL which I understand Google should automatically be able to find. Should we also being using a Canonical tag as well to tell google to give authority to the first page or the All Pages. Or was the use of the next and prev rel tags that we currently do adequate. We currently display 20 products per page, we were thinking of increasing this to make fewer pages but they would be better as this which would make some later product pages redundant . If we add 301 redirects on the redundant pages, does anyone know of the sort of impact this might cause to traffic and seo ?. General thoughts if anyone has similar problems welcome

403 forbidden, are these a problem?

Hi I have just run a crawl test on screaming frog and it is showing quite a few 403 forbidden status codes. We are showing none of these in webmaster tools, is this an issue?
