A simple link juice question!
-
lets say i have backlink from a site with dr 80 and ur 10 and no.of external links on that page are 5
on the other hand my competitor has same backlink with same dr and ur but on that page there are other 10 external links already and link is 11th
who is getting the most juice
-
You're barking up the wrong tree. It is an incorrect way to measure. It's a little tiny piece of the puzzle but you're thinking it is the whole puzzle.
-
hi chris,
i understand what you are trying to say but i would like know the answer in terms of number of links per page
i have learned that a page where you are getting a link from should have low number of other links ( other means my competitors) so that i can get most out of it
please clear the air a lil bit.

Sam,
Link equity or, "link juice" is about sooo much more than domain / page strength and number of links on a page. Did I say sooo much more? I meant sooooo much more.
There's textual relevance, page relevance, domain relevance, age, purpose, status, location, and no doubt, a bunch of other factors.
Doing SEO by the numbers will only get you so far. You have to learn how to feel it.
-
If Google bot crawl this page when there were only 5 links, you will get more. If it crawls when it was 10 links already you will get the same.

What is a good forum or resource to contact fellow SEO professionals for SEO partnership opportunities i.e. link trades?
While Moz is an excellent resource, i get the impression that it is for community-based SEO questions that can serve as a knowledge database. I am looking for a forum or resource where I can contact other SEO workers to explore link exchange opportunities. For example, i want to reach out to those who do SEO for audio/visual, technology, and event-planning companies so i can offer them links in exchange for some recommended links to my site. Before anyone dogs on link trading as being spammy and not best practice, it would only be done in a useful, relevant, and non-spammy fashion with other high authority sites. Thanks! Ryan

Planning an analytical article focused on link building. Do you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see analyzed in a data-backed study?
So far, I'm working backwards. Goal: product a data-rich piece of content that will help other agencies or internal marketing departments explain trends in link building and show the value in it. Means to gather data: Moz, Ahrefs, manual searching What is missing right now is the angle. I was thinking about taking 100 high volume keywords in the SaaS/software space, and looking for trends in the sites that rank well with regards to search volumes and number of links etc. This feels a bit weak to me. Any suggestions? I'd appreciate any insights so thank you for taking the time!

This question has been answered.
I managed to snag an early, early bird ticket to MozCon for $799. Now it appears I won't be going. I'd like to exchange it with another Mozer who does want to go, but would like to save $200 off the current price. If interested, please email me at patrick.garmoe@travelex.com.

Does canonical links rank in Google?
Our company has many pages that use the canonical tag. Will these pages rank in the search engine or will it pass the strength on to the original page?

Survey: Success With In-house Link Building
We have been doing link prospecting and link building in-house, and I just wanted to get a sense of the process from others doing SEO. Here are the simple questions to the survey: To get things started, I have highlighted my answers in bold letters. How advanced do you consider yourself in link building: a) Beginner b) Okay, but learning c) Expert How many hours do you spend a week engaging in link building related tasks (i.e prospecting, reaching out to prospects, generating follow-up lists, etc) a) 5 hours or less b) 5-10 hours c) more than 10 hours How many quality links can you generate a month? Around 6-8 (they are decent, not the highest quality- mostly blog posts) Do you rely on SEO tools or do you believe in advanced search queries and DIY techniques? Both, I am trying to get more familiar with the advanced queries. What tools if any do you find useful? Myblogguest, advanced search queries, majestic SEO, ontolo query generator What is the most useful method for getting inbound links from authority sites (i.e .edu, .org, etc.)? I have had no success pitching content to these sites as of yet. Thanks

Ask Rand a Question!
Hey Q&Aers, As you probably know, Rand answers one question per PRO newsletter, and I need a question to ask him. Please leave your questions below. (I generally give Rand a few questions, so he can choose which one to answer, so this is by no means a first come, first serve situation. But please only ask one!) Thanks!

Question regarding redirect to www.
Good afternoon – I was wondering if someone could help me with regards to my site @ allrmc.com I have been generating good content and building links for some time and we're getting great results but I was wondering if my site may be suffering from not redirecting to the www. I have heard that google treats “website.com” & “www.website.com” separately and wanted to know if this has been true in anyone’s experience? For instance through site explorer I am finding that using site explorer without the www. We have a 39 PA but with www. It’s 63. If I redirected all visitors to www. Would my SERPS potentially improve? I know this is probably a SEO101 question but would love feedback on this I’m too afraid to do anything drastic without asking first. Thank you for your input! – Cliff
