Permalink structure for Wordpress Getshopped Plugin
-
Hi everyone, has anyone had any experience with Getshopped eCommerce plugin for Wordpress and it's permalink structure?
Currently the permalink reads something like http://www.sitename.com/products-page/product-category/product-description/
I would like to modify it to be http://www.sitename.com/product-description/ but the SEO Plugin I am using All-in-One SEO only allows me to edit the "product-description" part of the permalink and not the "products-page/product-category/" part of it
The permalink structure is set to /%postname%/ under Settings in Wordpress.
Any help/comments will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hey,
Never used All-in-one SEO but we do use and recommend the Yoast plugin for WordPress. Take a look at it

Data-vocabulary.org for structured markup in 2019
Hi MOZ friends, One of our clients has used data-vocabulary.org for structured markup. Schema.org says: "If you are already publishing structured data markup and it is already being used by Google, Microsoft, Yandex or Yahoo!, the markup format will generally continue to be supported. Changing to the new markup format could be helpful over time because you will be switching to a standard that is accepted across several companies, but you don't have to do it." Although there is such statement, as schema.org is the common vocabulary in 2019, should I keep it or change it with schema.org? Thanks in advance! 🙂

PortfolioID urls appearing in my wordpress site- what to do?
Hey guys, Hoping someone may have some advice on a wordpress site. Most of their URL's are duplicates due to a PortfolioID appearing in the URLs causing a duplicate title tags

It's the same page but it's being flagged as duplicate. Would you remove the portfolioID url or 301 redirect? Many thanks

URL / sitemap structure for support pages
I am creating a site that has four categories housed in folders off of the TLD. Example: example.com/category-1
Technical SEO | | InterCall
example.com/category-2
example.com/category-3
example.com/category-4 Those category folders contain sub-folders that house the products inside each category. Example: example.com/category-1/product-1
example.com/category-2/product-1
etc. Each of the products have a corresponding support page with technical information, FAQs, etc. I have three options as to how to structure the support pages' URLs. Option 1 - Add new sub-folder with "support" added to string: example.com/category-1/product-1-support Option 2 - Add a second sub-folder off of the product sub-folder for support: example.com/category-1/product-1/support Option 3 - Create a "support" folder with product sub-folders: example.com/support/product-1 Which of these three options would you choose? I don't like having one large /support folder that houses all products. It seems like this would create a strange crawling and UX situation. The sitemap would have a huge /support folder with all of my products in it and the keywords in my category folders would be replaced with the word "support." Because I would rather have the main product pages ranking over any of the support pages (outside of searches containing the word "support"), I am leaning toward Option 2:Â example.com/category-1/product-1/support. I think this structure indicates to crawlers that the more important page is the product page, while the support page is secondary to that. It also makes it clear to users that this is the support page for that particular product. Does anyone have any experience or perspective on this? I'm open to suggestions and if I'm overthinking it, tell me that too. Thanks, team.0 -
How do I redirect the Author archive page in Wordpress?
If you do a search for my name on Google, the first result is the author archive page of my Wordpress blog. I would like to redirect the author page to my  "about me" page but cannot add a 301 as the author page is created dynamically in Wordpress. Anyone know how I can do this?

Domain Structure - without www.
I'm working on a new project and we would prefer to not use the www. - for name/branding reasons. Are there any SEO ramifications from setting the domain without the www and using 301 redirects for all home page extensions to forward to -> domain.com(without the www)? Furthermore, we will be hosting many profiles on this site and would like to structure them for optimal SEO. Â Would there be an issue with using sub domains - user.domain.com, or would sub directories be more optimal? Thank you in advance!

Is there a way of changing the Permalink without getting the 404 Error?
Hi, I am new to this all.. Is there a way of changing the permalink for example from: domain/content/ to domain/profile/ without receiving the 404 error message. It's just that since my website has been developed, some pages and their content have changed but the permalink still shows the name of the old page which may be confusing. Ps. Please use most simple language for explanations as I am really new to it. Thank you! Ve

Wordpress multilanguage sitemaps
Hi, I have a multilingual wordpress site. which is in Bulgarian and English - translated using qtranslate. The xml sitemap of the 2 languages is in one sitemap file- all the links for the Bulgarian and English version are in one file. (Our web is using this plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-v3-for-qtranslate Do you have any idea how can I make separate xml sitemap for every language? I ask you here because may be you have identical problems with your multilanguage wordpress website. You can see the sitemap with 2 languages links in one sitemap here: http://cholakovit.com/ sitemap.xml Cholakov IT I have read from this article that it is better practise and also it will help with geo-targetazing your web site: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/multiple-xml-sitemaps-increased-indexation-and-traffic
