Would this be possible for my research
-
Hi i am trying to find out if it is possible for me to put a search term down and found out what companies are using this. I know you can do this with google but i am finding that it is not bringing up the right results.
What i am trying to do is, search for a search word that is being used on their content pages, so for example, if i put down the word holidays in spain, i want to find that word being used in their content and not the site being in google.
Hope this makes sense, so i am trying to find how many companies out there use a certain search phrase in their content
any help would be great

What about using the allintext: query, so that your keywords appear in the text of the page? More information at http://www.googleguide.com/advanced_operators.html#allintext
-
Have you tried the (Google) query:
allintitle: holidays in spain
This ensure that they have the keywords in their title tag, which is a pretty strong signal that their pages will include these keywords in the content as well.
-
a lot of the sites that i have been going through do not have the words that i am looking at on their content pages, instead it is in the meta tag or they have removed the words. but i spent four hours yesterday going through sites and most of them did not have the words that i was looking for.

You've stated that it "doesn't bring up the right results", what is wrong about these results?
Without using Google as your 'crawler' to see what pages contain what words, there's few options left other than writing your own crawler to index the web and build a tool to query your own index. That seems like a rather resource and time intensive way to solve this problem.
Have you tried the (Google) query:
allintitle: holidays in spain

Redirect of https:// to http:// without SSL. Possible or not?!
Good afternoon, smart dudes : ) I am here to ask for your help. I posted this question on google help forum and stackoverflow, but looks like people do not know the correct answer... QUESTION: We used to have a secured site, but recently purchased a separate reservation software that provides SSL (takes clients to a separate secured website) where they can fill out the reservation form. We cancelled our SSL (just think its a waste to pay $100 for securing plain text). Now i have so many links pointing to our secured site and i have no idea how to fix it! How do i redirect https://www.mysite.comto http://www.mysite.com.Also would like to mention that i already have redirect from non www to www domain (not sure if that matters): RewriteEngine onRewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite.com$ [NC]RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mysite.com/$1 [R=301,L]As i already mentioned....we do not have SSL!!!! None of those 301 redirect codes i found online work (you have to have SSL for the site to be redirected from https to http | currently i get an error - can't establish a secured connection to the server ). Is there anything i can do???? Or do i have to purchase SSL again?

Is it possible to export Inbound Links in a CSV file categorized by Linking Root Domains ?
Hi, I am performing an analysis of the total inbound links to my homepage and I would like to have the total amount of inbound links categorized by the Linking root domains. For example, the Open Site explorer does offer the feature to show you the Linking Root Domains to your page. Then when you click on the first Linking Root Domain, it also shows you the Top Linking Pages ( Which means all the pages that link to your page from this particular top level domain) Now I would like to export this data to a CSV file, but open site explorer only exports the total amount of top level linking domains. Does anyone has a solution to this problem ? Thank you very much for the help in advance!

On checking this website http://dogtraining.org.uk/ I get a 200 response. But an Oops! Google Chrome could not find dogtraining.org.uk . Same with Firefox (Server not found). Obviously there is a problem - I just don't know where to 'start' investigating to spot the error. Can someone help me? Thank you!

IP redirect possible SEO issues?
Hi I help manage a small eCommerce business that sells worldwide. We currently have 4 stores www.tidy-books.com (US site) www.tidy-books.co.uk (UK) www.tidy-books.eu (EU) www.tidy-bboks.com.au (AU) We have auto redirect based on the country of your IP. The .com is the route address though. Currently I have decided to focus all my energies with link building etc on .com as it seems to carry the most weight and being a very small team we don't have the resources for separate campaigns for all websites at the moment. Whilst I've done on site SEO with country in mind i.e for US kids instead of children. I'm just wondering if you can see any pitfalls in this approach, Ideally I would like to have a team focus on each store separately and have them as separate domains but with the IP redirect we at least rank well in Google for the .com and the customers gets sent to the relevant store. Any thoughts would be great

Multiple values for a single URL parameter - Is that possible?
I have a website which supports three languages - German, Spanish, Portuguese - by using language parameters. How do I configure my URL parameters so that the only the Spanish and Portuguese URLs are crawled but not the German URLs. Basically, how do i specify two values for a single parameter.

Is it possible to change a sitelink title by off page SEO?
Hi all, I checked a website of my company: sitelinks in SERP are with the correct url, but one of the sitelinks’ title is completely irrelevant. Is it possible that it was changed from "outside"? Or maybe it's a bug? Thank you, Imre

Considering redirecting my site from .com/us to just .com. What could the possible SERP consequences?
Today we use country-specific .tlds but have the US site on .com/us; .com is now a 'flag-site.' Ikea uses that structure too (.com/.com/us). Looking potential risk to redirecting current US site to .com.
