Switching existing website to a Wordpress Site and afraid of losing top spot

I am going to be switching my current site from a standard html site to a wordpress site. I'm kind of paranoid of losing my top spot for the keyterms. If I keep the content the same, and keep the same amount of image alt tags, the same anchor text etc, nothing should change right?

If your URLs, meta tags and content remain the same and only your coding changes it is likely your rankings wont be negatively impacted. WordPress is well designed so your rankings are more likely to improve.
Disclaimer: Anytime you make any change to your site there is a chance you could negatively impact your SEO rankings. Google uses hundreds of metrics to determine rankings and many are unknown. Even the known metrics have varying weights which are unknown. There are also changes to the algorithm on a daily basis.
Don't let the disclaimer scare you away. It's just reality you may inadvertently have something changed during the migration which affects your rankings. Generally speaking it is a good move for a html site to migrate to WP, so make the change. In the unlikely event rankings are negatively affected you can work to get them back.

Being a coupon website, my content is always keeps changing (as new coupons are added and expired deals are removed) automatically. I wish to create a sitemap but I realised that there is not much point in creating a sitemap for all pages as they will be removed sooner or later and/or are canonical. I have about 8-9 pages which are static and hence I can include them in sitemap. Now the question is.... If I create the sitemap for these 9 pages and submit it to google webmaster, will the google crawlers stop indexing other pages? Website Spam Backlinks Solution
I have been doing some back-link checking and found that 25% of the total back-links to my PR5 site are Spam and generated over the past 8 weeks. There are 189 links in total from 38 different domains and the anchor text is a combination of 'ugg boots for women' from TLDs in China, Russia and North Korea. The PR of these sites is 15 are n/a, 12 are 0 and the other 11 range between 1 - 6. More interestingly, all the links point to 1 single page on the domain. I have taken down that page now and wondering if I should 'disavow' the offending links in Google and Bing? Clearly with such a high % of my total links now being Spam, I want to be proactive so this does not hurt my rankings in search. If a Spambot is behind it then the issue is going to get worse moving forward. Any advice is welcome...
