Hello I am reading SEO ranking factor (very good informations)
and I want to ask: what does it mean:
of linking C bloks to page
I think that: how many(#) links from the same server (C block) links to your
homepage or some pages of your web...
of linking IP adresses to page
how many web links are going to my web and every links are from another server.
if I understand it good, it is no different between, if you have links from
webpages in one server (one C block) or
from webpages on another servers as your web is, because both correlation is 0.25...

The number of external links and all these external links contain partial match anchor text from my query:
(I am finding in Google "tennis" and see in SERP domain www.usta.com. # of External Links w/ Partial Match Anchor Text: tells me the number how many external links contain partial match anchor text "play tennis, tennis school, tennis info..."? )

Thanks for the link - I read this before though.
Well, the correlation data is the result of a high amount of websites that have been analyzed and how their rankings were positely/negatively related to a certain dimension, in this case number of different c-blocks/IPs linking.
Even though I agree with you that a more diverse IP profile should have more impact than diversity in terms of c-blocks, it might just be that websites having a high diversity of IPs also have more websites from different c-blocks linking and vice versa.
Just my thoughts...

OK I understand, that this is bad when you have all links from on C-block, but why # of linking C bloks to page - have correlation 0.25 and: # of linking IP addresses to page - have correlation 0.25.
I think that correlation: # of linking C block should by less than correlation: # of linking IP addresses.

This is the big difference - if you have a vast majority of links from one C-Block or one IP address, both has a negative impact in the same amount. Links should come from a wide variety of different IPs on different c-blocks

Bounce Rate a factor?
Hi Guys, I've been SEOing two sites for just over 6 months, making very little headway in the process. All the tactics I have employed work on the many other sites that we do SEO work for. I have written pages of rich, useful content, metas, built links from various sources, re-built both sites on a better platform, alt tags are optimised etc etc. This seems to have brought me some success but nothing to write home about. The only major difference I can see between these two sites and my others is bounce rate. The SEO pages I have produced have a fairly healthy bounce rate (20-30%) which isn't a problem, but, both sites have blogs which draw (a lot of) visitors from various social networks and the bounce rate is through the roof (80-90%) obviously increasing the average for the whole site. Now, I know there has been various discussions around this with no real outcome but I cannot see what else it can be. Am I missing something? I should add that both sites are in competitive sectors but not that competitive to stop me seeing at least top 100 results....

What was the biggest challenge you faced as an SEO in 2012?
As an SEO (in-house, freelance, consultant, agency, entrepreneur) what was the biggest challenge you faced in 2012? Please be as specific as you can, and let us all know what you are doing to overcome this challenge in 2013. For me personally I would have to say the biggest challenge I had to deal with was Google+ Local. Obviously Google is putting a lot into G+L, but it has been so messy and at times I have just thrown my arms up in the air. Especially when it comes to multi-state locations and losing reviews.

No longer ranking for non local local terms
Anyone seen this lately; I have a client who is in the food catering business and for the seo we target a lot of local keywords (event catering Hampshire, for example). In the past couple of weeks search engine traffic to the website seems to have dropped by about 60%. However, rankings do not seem to have dropped. What I have noticed is that up until a couple of months back, the client would be ranking first page in the Google local and also have a listing in the 'normal' serps. It appears that the non local pages have vanished. Checking a couple of their competitors and it seems the same there. This has led me to start to believe that Google are now only giving a local position or a normal position on the first page and not both, as previously. The non local pages are sitll listed but seem to have dropped way back to the 4th or 5th page when previously they would have been first page. It would of course help if the client were to give me access to the webmaster tools!!! Hate it when client's only give you half the information you need and then expect you to tell them what's up!! Rankings changing every couple of MINUTES in Google?
We've been experiencing some unusual behaviour in the Google.co.uk SERPs recently... Basically, the ranking of some of our websites for certain keywords appears to be changing by the minute. For example, doing a search for "our keyword" might show us at #20. Then a few minutes later, doing the same search shows us at #14, and then the same search a few minutes later shows us at #26, and then sometimes we're not ranked at all, etc etc. I know the algorithm changes a lot, but does it really change every couple of minutes? Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour in the SERPs? What could be causing it to happen?

Singular vs plural SEO
Hi everyone, OK I've been looking at the Google adwords keyword tool and it's thrown some of my On-page SEO into question (everything said here are examples, I haven't used any real life terms or figures). Lets say my page is about "Green Apples", let's say the keyword tool shows that the singular version "Green Apple" gets more searches (as an example). Should I optimize for the singular or the plural? Also lets say my title tag for that page is "Green Apples | Apples Galore UK" would Google/SEOmoz count that as an optimisation for the singular "Green Apple" or do the search engines take the title literally and don't differenciate between singular and plurals?
