How to tell where a competitor's Facebook Shares are coming from?
-
Is there a way to tell where a competitor's facebook shares and likes are coming from? How to also tell what ads they have running in Facebook and their spend?
I am looking at OSE's data and its telling me a competitor has 8.5K Facebook shares and 1K facebook likes. I go to their facebook page and it has about 25 likes. This site should not have anywhere close to the facebook shares/likes its receiving so wondering where they are getting their boosted traffic from.

OSE share data is based on page rather than domain, so that's a massive number of shares for a single page!
It almost certainly has to be a follower/like service. They're a dime a dozen. If they were running significant facebook ads you would expect their facebook page likes to be much higher than 25.

If you go to fiverr.com you'll see plenty of people offering to like or share your pages for $5. They may have used a service like that.
I think that 1k Facebook likes number is counting the individual likes on each page of their site - not necessarily the number of likes their page on FB has collected.

Sounds like shady shares to me, would'nt surprice me if there is a company that provides that sort of service. Some kind of affiliate thing where you get paid to click the share button on sites all day. Althougt a Google search for "buy facebook shares" gives me results of "how to buy facebook stock"

i doubt it, but i would check their API to be sure

Duplicate Content - Multiple URL's
I know a few of these problems come from products being in the same categories but I have no idea how to get rid of the url's that are showing duplicate content when the product is in the exact same place. Hard to explain, but here are URL examples. http://www.ocelco.com/store/pc/www.ocelco.com/store/pc/Bathtub-Floor-Corner-Stainless-Steel-Grab-Bar-Right-Hand-left-hand-pictured-688p3308.htm http://www.ocelco.com/store/pc/www.ocelco.com/store/pc/Bathtub-Floor-Corner-Stainless-Steel-Grab-Bar-Right-Hand-left-hand-pictured-696p3308.htm http://www.ocelco.com/store/pc/Bathtub-Floor-Corner-Stainless-Steel-Grab-Bar-Right-Hand-left-hand-pictured-p3308.htm http://www.ocelco.com/store/pc/Bathtub-Floor-Corner-Stainless-Steel-Grab-Bar-Right-Hand-left-hand-pictured-688p3308.htm Any Idea's how to fix / get rid of these URL's? Since July 1, we've had a HUGE jump in errors on our weekly crawl. We don't think anything has changed on our website. Has MOZ changed something that would account for a large leap in duplicate content and duplicate title errors?
Our error report went from 1,900 to 18,000 in one swoop, starting right around the first of July. The errors are duplicate content and duplicate title, as if it does not see our 301 redirects. Any insights?

Backlink of competitor inner page
How to understand from where the link to a competitor's internal page http://www.exampledomain.com/contest/book are coming? I mean, we want promote the same "event" but we want understanding where the competitor is already present. Open Site Explorer doesn't have any data for the website listed but I'm sure that the page has a lot of backlinks (I've verified the first 50 manually in Google.it) Many Thanks for all your advices.

How accurate is SEOMoz's keyword analysis tool?
For the most part, SEOMoz's keyword analysis tool has been in line with other tools like Adwords keyword tool with regards to competitive level. I have just encountered a keyword though that a client may choose to compete on that seems to be far off. keyword phrase: online math games Adwords competitive level: Low SEOMoz competitive level: 80 This seems like a sizeable difference (I know the two compare all results vs first page authority's, but typically they are in line with each other). With other related keywords for the industry in question, SEOMoz and Adwords seem to be in line. This one just got me thinking. I know the SEOMoz score is a sign of the strength of the top results and that the "low" score from Adwords may be a sign of much weaker results on the following pages (with a higher number of weaker pages vs fewer high authority outliers). **Question: ** How accurate is SEOMoz keyword analysis tool and what other keyword analysis tools are you guys/gals using that you like? I have tried others but many provide duplicate insights.

I did a redirect and now I'm getting duplication errors.
I was told by SEO Moz to do a redirect so that our website would be crawled with and without the www in front of the address. I did and now I'm getting duplicate page and title errors because the crawler is seeing www.oursitename.com and its underpages and oursitename.com and its underpages and giving me duplicate page content errors and duplicate page title errors. Makes sense, but how do I make it stop? Anyone else have this problem?

Is there a way to see all SEOMoz questions, comments, posts, responses that I've given a "thumbs up" to?
Lots of times I'll Thumbs Up a question, blog post or response not only if I think it's high quality but if I think I'd like to revisit it in the future. Essentially, I want to use a the SEO Moz Thumbs Up as a bookmark. Is there any way to see all the SEO Moz content that I have given a "Thumbs Up" to? I know I can review all the questions I've asked or answered in the "My Q&A" page. Perhaps, I'm just missing a "Thumbs Up" page somewhere on my profile?
