How long ago did you publish the page?

What you refer is "on page" elements: h1, title and URL are one part of the job. Sure, if you got the exact keyword match, you got more chances to get to the top SERP.

However, you're missing the second part of the job: links. You're page is new so you may not have any link. Here's a process you can use:

• Link the pages already well indexed you're referring to the new page.
• Use the MozBar to analyse the 2 first results, and check for the links of those pages. Do they have more than you?
• Scan those pages using https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/, and try to get their links.
• Scan also the top10 results on this keywords and go get some links

I tagged our new platform with schema.org: website+application software. There's also "reviews". Those reviews use datepublished microdata. However it seems that this info is used as a date for the page...

Search for "logiciel cesar" with Google.fr, and the page is https://www.caplogiciel.com/logiciel/cesar

What did I do wrong? I checked other websites which are well displayed on Google and they use the same microdata...

Hi, thanks a lot for your inputs.

I'm an external SEO for couple of companies and elaborate their SEO strategies.
Most of my clients are small software editors, they're struggling to get media attention and building high quality content is a huge investment. Loosing a 50 Domain Authority link because the media changed its business model is a huge loss for them.

I was wondering how other SEO guys were handling that. If you continue to target those medias? They still have a huge audience, but we loose the linking benefit.

Last week was the "anti-AdBlock" week for every media in France. They started adding pop-ups asking to disable AdBlock.

Their business model based on advertisement is suffering from it. But did they ask their audience what they wanted? I would have told them: ask me questions to know more about myself and personalize my experience instead of pushing more and more ads, until my computer dies from too many scripts!

What they decided? Protect their content. Now you have to log-in to access articles. The result? They delete all their links. Actually they still exist, but Google doesn't see it anymore.... So it's like they don't exist.

So I'm asking you, what do you think will be the future of medias? What will happen for us as SEO guys? Do we have to focus on the ones that have non-protected contents?...

Can we be sure those DA / PA will not drop rise in such a way with the coming updates?

I use your grades to grade hundreds of sites in the same area, I'll be able to see trends. But then we got to explain to clients why their own grade dropped

Does the DA takes into account the speed of the website? Because that's the only thing which changed (had a bug with the cache plugin)...

Hi,

I'm using the software snip.ly, which allows me to add call to action into content I publish through social media. It's really powerful but I'm wondering how it can affect my SEO?

Snip.ly now appears into my link report and its spam score is only 2, which is good. However I'm afraid that in the long term, it can be bad:

• links are created manually by the webmarketer
• Topics of this website are infinite
• the ancor is the same

Your thoughts?..

Link Building is now all about industry related : It's not having as many links as you can, but as having health related websites talking about your articles.

Use MOZ tools in order to find those links

I also vote for Yoast.

Plugins are all about ease of use and efficient features, it has it all.

I love that we can see how the page will look on Google, and I love how it gives advices on : you may turn on or off this feature.

Good point. As I see it, website visitors do not care about the extension ".something", this is just a development issue. So the best way is to avoid it, as people will remember the URL, not the extension.

Best is to use 301 redirection and keep clean URL, there is no need to keep duplicate pages.

Yes, 301s is the best way to get search engine forget about your past URLs.

.html are not good clean urls, so if you can, get rid of them

However, I cannot help you with Dreamweaver issues, I don't use it... Hope someone can help you with it.
