Shutting down rogue G+ Pages
We are helping a client clean up some past agencies SEO work in G+ and needed to figure out the best way to shut down duplicate G+ pages.
The pages were created with post office boxes, household addressed, etc to create a location in multiple cities. What is the most efficient way to shut down 40+ pages in 5+ cites? Do we need to get usernames/passwords for all of these to shut them down?
Has anyone had luck getting Google's help on mass cleanup like this?
Signed,
Exhausted already!

RE: Keyword Research Local vs Organic

Good thoughts on the page theming for the head term. I'm not sure if that is enough though when dealing with really competitive terms or verticals. Exact match phrasing or at least including the regional term still seems necessary.
Thoughts?

Keyword Research Local vs Organic
I am curious what tact people take when doing KWR for a local business where regional keywords are important, for example 'Dallas Family Dentist' vs just 'Family Dentist'?
It can be challenging to consistently create content for these regional keywords without looking spammy or akward in the wording of titles and copy.
Any advice on how you approach SEO research or content creation when these regional words are important?

Great advice as usual. I've seen quite a few articles about ranking for the one location the builder has thier office in, and competing organically for the other cities with unique content. I've also seen the post on Google's blog NOT to list multiple pages if there is no brick-n-mortar.
The thing I may need a tad more clarity on is G+ Local vs Google Place pages. Places is no longer, but I've read from the Danny Sullivans, and blums of the world not to create a G+ pages just yet and let Google sort our G+ local for a few months. Agree?
Last clarification:
brick n mortar = G+ Local Page for each location + matching local landing page on website
Service based = G+ page with no address and option unchecked + local landing pages on website with unique content
or both
So now the question to create a G+ page or to wait....Also merge old places pages via Google blog instructions or wait?

This is for an established builder that continues to build in new surrounding communities. They have nice traction in a couple older areas, but need to move up in the more competitive areas of town.
This website is focused exclusively on townhomes.

Local SEO for a community.
How would one go about best doing local SEO for a townhome community? It seems to fall in between the traditional imformational SEO and the brick and mortar, G+ page model.
There seems to be no way to attack the NAP, directory and traditional citation model for a certain region they build in.
Any thoughts?

RE: Rel=author WP Plugin
So it looks like it hasn't been added to the Yoast SEO tool then huh?
Found this one to do what I was looking for. Works on top of the Yoast setup as well.

RE: Rel=author WP Plugin
Yoast is a great SEO Plugin for sure, thanks for the feedback. I updated to the latest version and didn't see where I could add G+ markup for the authors/users on the blog. Also didn't see anything offhand in the forums.
Know where to go to add markup in the plugin?

Integration of Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube?
I ran across a blog on Moz from last November that was introducing the social monitoring feature. It mentioned adding new social platforms that would eventually be included in SEOMoz.
Any word on when/if that is happening? Excited to have SEO and Social under the same dashboard!

Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
