RE: Getting Google Authorship to Work
-
RE: Anyone else seeing increased duplication of domains since Penguin?
Yeah I have noticed the same, while searching on a keyword "sugar daddy oregon" on google.com, I noticed the SEO work I had done secured the top 3 positions for seekingarrangement.com
This only happened after those major updates.

RE: Getting Google Authorship to Work
You can check your rich snippets here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.touristisrael.com%2Fneve-tzedek-tel-aviv%2F354%2F
It's is working! You may have to wait until Google picks it up.

RE: Twitter Personas
Then it is not a twitter persona which is the act of playing a social role. In this case you are just playing a natural social role and should have no problem interacting with said designers.
Anyways I looked at your twitter profile, I think it would be fine. Since you describe yourself as a Web Designer on here, you should also describe that on your twitter profile. From a professional stand point, using your personal account will put more of a face on your account when you socialize with users. I think @justinmarch would be better off than using an account like @BestWebDesignerEvar.
As long as the method of approaching someone clearly outlines your objective, you should have no problem. Don't lead people to figure it out for themselves. We are all lazy and the amount of people that will research you because you did a @reply to something they said will be far less than a direct message complimenting on their design work that you took time researching.

RE: Where is Bing traffic?
Well like I said it depends on what keywords you target... So if those keywords are ranking high on BING but not providing good traffic, then it is a waste of time. Until you get top positions in BING, then you cannot know for sure. Here is BING's keyword tool.
In the last 6 months the word "Google" was searched in bing 1.3 billion times.

RE: Redirect link from a particular domain
Yeah I got lost as to what you were trying to do man. Good that you figured it out!

RE: Redirect link from a particular domain
Since you contacted the owner of the external website and they would not make the link change then unfortunately you cannot do anything about it. You don't have access to there server files!
So basically you cannot change the link going to abc.com to site 123.com. Hope this helps

RE: Where is Bing traffic?
First of all, that article is really old. Second her source was from a study of about 10 million U.S. internet users.. probably more realistically people over 60 that are using Internet explorer. (JK)
I would find a more updated article like this one: http://www.zdnet.com/google-dominates-u-s-share-stats-in-june-bing-up-yahoo-down-7000000717/
Published July 11th, Bing only holds 15% market share. which is drastically far away from 30% and way way far away from Google's 65%
Since there are fewer searches performed on Bing, not all search queries will be made, hence why you may only see a few hits to none. It's the same for my sites as well.
Hope this answers your question! and if so, make sure to mark it answered Thank you

RE: Redirect link from a particular domain
May need clarification, but are you saying..
you have site abc.com redirecting to site 123.com? Also, site abc.com has a really nice link pointing to it which gets lots of visits.
Since the content on site abc.com is different than the content on site 123.com. The link is related to talking about letters.. but instead you point them to the domain that try's to sell them numbers.. then yes you will naturally have a bad bounce rate. Especially if your redirect is a slow process, people will notice you are making them go to different websites.
You could redirect the traffic from site abc.com to another domain using .htaccess, honestly I would restore your site abc.com and give the visitors what they are looking for!
If I have this mixed up, let me know! and I'll try to re answer. But if I did answer your question, please mark it answered

RE: Does Google index url with hashtags?
the search operator "inurl:#" did not return any results.
check to make sure that your URLs follow the RFC-3986 standard for URIs. This document (recomended by Google) might give insight on using the # (Number Sign)
If you arne't trying to create a uniform resource indentifier, but just a uniform resource locator.. this site may help: http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm
Hope this helps, and if your question was answered please mark as answered

RE: Forward DNS Please HEEEELLLLPPPPPPP!!!
Don't you hate when you get support like that?!
Anywho, you forward the DNS of your sub domain at GoDaddy.
To Edit a Subdomain
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Next to Domains, click Launch.
- From the Tools menu, select DNS Manager. The DNS Dashboard displays.
- For the domain name with the subdomain you want to edit, click Edit Zone. The Zone File Editor displays.
- In the A (Host) section, click the subdomain you want to edit.
- Edit any of the following fields:
- Host — Enter the subdomain you want to use. Type @ to map the record directly to your domain name, including thewww.
- Points to — Enter the IP address you want the subdomain to point to.
- TTL — Select how long the server should cache the information.
- Click Save Zone File, and then click OK.
Hope that helps!

RE: Thinking about using a Public Relations firm to post articles
There is great benefit to doing this! You would be putting your content in front of more people while increasing your changes of them sharing it. I think 4 per month would be as much as you would want to do. You will want to think about value to the readers most of all, and think about news broadcasters and how they might respond or take action to your press releases. If you publish a great story every week vs so so stories every day, they would take you more seriously if you did the 4 per month route.
My past boss who is very good at creating controversy in the sugar daddy dating niche via seeking arrangement, was really good at this. He always tried to provide site data about the users and presented it in a controversial way to make other writers react.
His press schedule depends on what is going on, and usually tries to push something out every week or so. Sometimes he would post anything for a month.
The best way to approach this is to make a plan of when and where you will be publishing these stories. Be consistent and do research on the art of press releases! This post should help a bit.

RE: Client question: What should I do?
I would work on sharing those articles, that is the only thing possible you could do. Hoping that Google will connect the dots of those articles content with her name.
It may work, it may not.
Good luck!

RE: External Followed Links History, number of links go down
This could be a result where your back links were coming from websites that have been de indexed or banned. Those websites were affected by the updates of Panda most likely. I am not a expert on the subject because I have not had to deal with it directly.. But the dates your links started going down looks about right.

RE: Negative SEO?
I highly doubt Negative SEO was used on your post. Unless you can see / gather off site data the would prove otherwise. Google likes fresh content, and will normally rank fresh content high for a few days and is common for that post to be dropped after awhile.
On second thought, looking at your back links through Ahrefs I wouldn't rule out the possibility you could have been sabotaged.
June 25th @ 293 back links to _July 2nd @ 628 back links _
I think that is pretty fast for negative SEO.. Do you or anyone else in your company or have hired someone to do "SEO Work"?
By the way, I show that you rank #9.. "First Citizens Bank Overdraft Fees"

RE: Low Domain Authority - Rank Well For Competitive Keywords
You must remember that rankings don't only rely on back links. there are many factors like content, social signals & on page optimization to name the bigger players.

301 redirect! set up a rule in your .htaccess file to redirect www.domain.net/default.asp to www.domain.net

RE: Duplicate content harms individual pages or whole site?
Being dinged for duplicate content would be penalized as whole on your website, not just by page.
If the post is original and you just have a picture of the book with a sentence or two of it's description, I do not think that would harm or trigger a filter on your website.
They usually go for "substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar"

RE: Linking between your own websites- yay or nay?
This could come off as a "Blog Network" to Google and would be frowned upon. Since your Directory was dinged, I wouldn't associate it with your other websites. Personally I had 5 sites myself that were all in a "General" niche but a little different and all linking up with each other. They did not get penalized or anything but as soon as those updates rolled out I removed their linking structure. Better to be safe than sorry!
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
