I think what he is referring to Gianluca, is a targeted question in his niche going to be beneficial because it is his username that links through to his profile, which is then the part that has the dofollow link.
To the Cesar - do you know if these support pages are crawled and indexed by Google? If they are, and the link from your username is not blocked, then yes, it could be beneficial.
Do you have a link for us to have a look at an example?

Have a look at the top of the cached page for all the info you need. However, it won't tell you when they added content.
OK, do exactly this:

If you click on the cached version of the page and then click on "Text Only Version", scroll to the bottom and you will see where it has been used.
it was there, but looks like it has been changed and I suspect Google will catch up with this at some point.

I am a little confused what you are actually searching for. You said that "When i take a content from http://www.creativethemes.net", can you give me an example of what you are taking from the homepage?
If I search for Magento Templates or Magento Themes, I don't see this "FME" site come up.
If you are looking for heat and scroll-maps, have a look at Crazy Egg. I have yet to find one better. However, it is a paid service and despite what they say on the site, if you mail them, they do have a monthly payment that is non-contract.
Can you give us the URLs and search terms please? Need to have a look to fully understand what is going on.

A lot depends on what is being spidered and seen by Google. I might be tempted to go with co-citations and mentions at the end of a post (almost like a signature), as these are also looked at by Google.
To be fair, Google have never said they don't want to see just blog comments, so right now, people are making use of this and if you find blogs in your niche, form a good comment and a sensible link, then you can still benefit.
However, what will happen further down the line is anyone's guess. Google have said they want to see links back to sites that deserve to be there, so as a long term strategy, this is surely one that won't stand up to the test of time.
The best thing to do is write great content and publish it on your own blog and then seed this out to others in your industry and hopefully they will find it that good, that they will want to link back to it again.

You have to be careful setting up any kind of microsite because if Google catches on to it, you will get hit with a big stick!
I would never offer this as a solution to any client just because of what can happen if it all goes pear shaped, but if you really do want to make these sites, I will offer you the same information as I have given clients in the past:
However, you would be much better off putting your time into writing some great content for your existing site. This is something that will never run the risk of being penalized.

The best way to tell is look at your analytics. Have you noticed a drop that coincides with an algorithm update?

Well, text on a page is going to be readable by Google unless you hide it in some way. You can check by having a look at the Lynx text viewer:
There has been a lot of chatter about this recently and seems that it is a known problem. I think the only thing to do is sit tight and don't worry as many folks have the same issues.

I have seen this issue before and it turned out the tracking code had been accidentally placed on 2 different sites. Is there any possibility this could have happened?
Can I also suggest you give people a bit of a warning that this site is adult in nature and definitely not safe for work!

There has never been anything like this from Google - they will never give numbers, but the general rule of thumb when link building is to not just use target anchor text. Use things like "Click Here to see more", "Click for more information", the website URL, your name, etc. and add in the odd keyword based phrases now and then.
Target key phrases too much and you will undo any good work you have done.

Trying to prove someone has bought the right to guest blog is awkward and even if they have, unless you have concrete proof of this or they advertise the fact.
I would honestly not spend too much time worrying about what they are doing and concentrate your efforts on your site otherwise they are going to continue with this lead they have.

As Barry said, I can't think why a 301 can't be added to the homepage, but the change of address is there for exactly this reason and will help Google retain your site's ranking (their words)

Yes, I would also use this if possible:

You could use the Change of Address in Google Webmaster Tools. You will find this under the Configuration heading.

I would just add anything from /call_backrequest.php to your robots.txt. This will stop it from every being indexed or crawled.

Are you able to paste your Robots.txt file here so we can have a look? Failing all else, if you mail support, you will get an answer from the guys at SEOmoz with what is going on if you think there is still a problem.
Perhaps others who use the rank tracking can offer something additional.

Don't worry too much about the EMD update Colin as this only really comes into effect if someone has a site named the same as a search term, but doesn't have anything much in terms of content to offer.

Have you given it enough time to crawl the entire site? I don't use this feature myself, but I think it is 7 days? Again, not knowing how SEOmoz crawl, is it possible Robots.txt is causing problems?

I would start by getting myself onto a new host for starters! But as Barry said, don't worry about PR as this means absolutely nothing in terms of where you get found in the SERPs.
Try and avoid doing this because at the point Google catches on to what is happening, penalties will be handed out.
Just concentrate on writing blog posts and building links the natural way. It can be time consuming, but think about the articles you write and try and make them something completely unique that people will want to link to.

Quite honestly, I would never use a canonical to point to a page that no-one can navigate to. If I were Google, I would look at this and wonder if it was a recommended page, why then was this not the one people can just click on.

If you are noticing a slip Colin, it might help to see if this coincides with an algorithm update. Rarely will a site drop in the SERPs for no reason, and having a blog isn't going to do this on its own.
Have you had a look for issues that might relate to Panda or Penguin? How much SEO have you been doing? Do you think you might have been trying too hard?
It can also be because other sites are performing SEO while you have just been writing blog posts, you might have missed an update that required some additional work.
There are so many possibilities why this can be, but it is always worth starting with a look at the ones that cause the most issues.

You said you are adding content and building links slowly, so carry on doing this.
Something I would suggest (if you don't already) is to get yourself onto Google+ and start adding the content you are writing on there. To give you an example, I can have a blog article 1st page within 10 minutes - I love Google+ 
But there isn't really any quick solution to this. Keep writing great content, share it and build links carefully. It is also useful to do some competition analysis and see what those sites above you are doing.

What in particular is wrong? If you feel it is an issue with SEOmoz, then it might be worth dropping them a direct e-mail to ask for support http://www.seomoz.org/about/contact
I know this might seem like an obvious question, but are you sure you are not searching whilst logged in to Google or with lots of cache hanging about? If you use Google Chrome, try this through an incognito window after the cache has been cleared.

Can't say I have noticed anything myself. Have you tried to upload a file for verification to see if this works?
Your 1st point - don't worry about this. As long as there is enough good unique content on each page, then a snippet isn't a problem.
Regarding your 2nd point, were you given a reason not to noindex? Were you given an alternative solution?
In many cases, noindex sorts out all of the problems that Panda can throw at a website. However, just be aware that there are occasions this wont work and you need to look to robots them out.

By buckets of content, I'm not referring to $5 pieces penned by would-be copywriters - Sorry, never thought to clarify that 
However, putting all your eggs in one basket is something of a no-no. Would I ever recommend a client spend thousands on one article? There comes a point of diminishing returns and that will get hit. However, have a couple of hundred amazing articles written and cast your net out to catch as many fish as possible.
Also worth remembering that Google has cottoned on to infographics and you don't get the same from them now. Too many have been created to the point of saturation.
However, videos are great and I have seen many SERP increases just by placing a video on a page.
In terms of writers, it depends what market they are in. You might find some that are specific to their industry (or maybe not). I have heard good things about Copify and know a few places that deal with them.
In terms of additional activities, the next best bang for buck will be to ensure all pages are targeting phrases correctly (meta, titles, etc), but you are likely to get the most from a solid link-building campaign. Have you also thought about creating them a Wikipedia page?
With a budget like that, you could write so much great content - and this is what it's all about at the end of the day.
Start with having buckets of content written for the site, for articles, blog posts, etc., and then move on to sharing and then link-building. With so much great content, you will be able to show potential sites this content that they can link to.
Share it all around the social platforms as well - perhaps look at getting a video or two created as well.
As long as they don't have problems such as Panda or Penguin to deal with, then just employ some marginal on-page techniques for the site itself - Meta, Titles, internal links, etc.

My own preference is to try and add folders as with the second option because for visuals, it is easier to see where you are.
In terms of SEO benefit, it is unlikely one will give you more than another. This will be predominately dominated by your content and paying attention to basics (Meta, etc.)
