Hello Marc

Hello Moz community
I am looking at a couple of websites to guest post on and it feels almost too easy. I am concerned these sites may be part of a PBN. Their spam scores are quite low however (6% - 11%). Is the new Spam Score on Link Explorer (not Open Site Explorer) a reliable tool to vet PBNs?
I asked a member of the Moz team but they didn't know. Perhaps another will.
Here is the website http://www.dspacecloud.org/
Thank you in advance for your opinions.
Ah, I see where you are coming from. I should have been more clear. The two listings are technically inconsistent, as one listing lacks some details of the other (such as the county/state). So the Name, Address and Phone number does not match up.
That said, one listing having incomplete information is unlikely to have the same implications as a listing which has conflicting information. I haven't seen any data to confirm that though, which is why I assume there is some detrimental impact.
I have tried their social media repeatedly but to no avail.
I'm sure they will call me sooner or later trying to sell something, then I can bring it up
Appreciate your input in any case.
Hi Andy
Yes and yes.
According to many resources including many here on Moz, inconsistent and duplicate listings are bad for local SEO.
Inconsistent listings are more serious, but duplicates also have a negative effect (if someone knows better please update me).
So my concern is that this is having a detrimental effect, however small, that I might not be able to fix. I am surprised that one of the biggest directories in the UK is not managed.
Perhaps I can claim both listings by paying, then delete one of them. Has anyone done this before?
Hello Andy
Thank you for your response. I am not sure how to interpret your question. The type of listing includes Name, Address, Phone number with the usual info like mail and website. If there is any further criteria for types of listings then I am unfamiliar with it. It isn't a paid listing if that helps.
I thought I had shared the problem. Could you clarify what information you are after?
Here is a link to the directory http://gb.centralindex.com/
I want to get one of two listings removed as it is a duplicate and thus, syndicating a duplicate listing to all the directories that source their information from Central Index.
Hello Moz community
I have a duplicate listing in Central Index (GB) and all communication channels seem unresponsive. I have emailed support and general sales. I even tried contacting them on their facebook account.
I am stumped as to how I can get this duplicate listing removed as I have no control over it and the support is non-existent.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Hello
Just my two pence, but if the web page is already ranking well I wouldn't try to fix it. Google is very good at determining the right synonyms as evident by your additional rankings. It is a good relevancy signal to have LSI (latent semantic indexed) keywords and I very much doubt it will do your page any harm. The only reason I would advise against it is if it made for an unnatural read.

Hello
I am fairly new to the community but I thought I could offer some useful information. I have had similar issues and success with a number of techniques (though probably on a smaller scale). I was about to list them when I remembered there was a great whiteboard Friday on this topic.

Degrading a page might not be worth it if your competitors are hot on your heels. Especially if you have yet to do everything you can to improve the rank for www.domain.com. I have never tried such things across domains so I would be interested to know how you get on.
I appreciate you want to give power to your product domain and not simply shine a light on one over the other. You might consider a redirect. I believe 301s now pass all of the link juice. If there is another way to transfer power other than internal link sculpting I would love to know also.
