Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of whether Google treats keywords with hyphens differently. One of my websites main keywords is 'buy to let', however all across our website it is referred to as 'buy-to-let'. People always search without the hyphens. I recently heard that Google may only treat us as a highly relevant match and not an exact match for this keyword. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this, and what is the best course of action to take.

My website currently has 2 pages that address the theme 'property investment in manchester' or 'buy to let manchester'.

I am a bit concerned that we are competing against ourselves for these keywords. In my opinion the /investments page provides better content, but the /developments page ranks higher in Google.

What do you think would be the best course of action?:

• Leave as is

• Merge the contents of both pages

• Redirect the /developments to /investments

• Or something else?

Any ideas welcome.

I'm looking for some tips on best practices for FAQ pages. In particular, is it better to have all questions and answers listed on one page, or should each question have its own page - given that there's enough content for it

We have a glossary section on our website with hundreds of terms. At the moment we have it split into letters, e.g. there one page with all the terms starting with A, another for B etc..

I am conscious that this is not the best way to do things as not all of these pages are being indexed, and the traffic we get to these pages is very low.

Any suggestions on what would be the best way to improve this?

The 2 ideas I have at the moment are

• Have every term on a separate page, but ensuring there is enough copy for that term

• Leave as is, but have the URL change once a user scrolls down the page. E.g. the first page would be www.website.com/glossary/a/term-1 then once the user scrolls past this terms and onto the next one the URL would change to www.website.com/glossary/a/term-2

We have a glossary on our website. All terms are accessible via a 'view all' URL, however we also have each letter on their own URL, e.g /a. Currently the rel=canonical tag for all the individual letter pages points to the view all URL. I'm just wondering whether that is best practice or not, as currently not all the individual letter pages are being indexed.

Thanks for your response. I checked OSE and Search Console and can't find any links pointing to the URL. I did the server header check and it's delivering a 200 OK response.

Hi all,

Google is indexing a URL on my site that doesn't exist, and never existed in the past. The URL is completely made up. Anyone know why this is happening and more importantly how to get rid of it.
