i am looking to improve the load speed on my site (it's very poor at the moment) but I am trying to figure out how much I should compress the images on my page by. Is there a sweet spot between making the images as small as possible without losing image quality. I know that this might differ depending on a number of factors by any advice would be very helpful. A number of steps in my purchase funnel are competing against each other in the SERP. So wwww.exmaple.com/step1 and wwww.exmaple.com/step2 are both appearing on the SERP. What is the best course of action to stop this. Other than implementing robots.txt on wwww.exmaple.com/step2 is there anything else that I should be doing?

I have two pages that have essentially the same content, same page title etc. however one is the mobile version of the other. Is it appropriate to use the rel canonical tag with these two pages? So the pages are: www.example.com/product www.example.com/mobile/product If  rel canonical is not appropriate what, if anything should I do?

We us a number of different parameters in a number of our URLs to track how the user has navigated to the page. So for example we will have a page www.example.com/product/?banner to show that the user has navigated to the page from the banner as opposed to www.example.com/product/?footer to show that the user has navigated to the page from the footer. Do search engines treat these pages as the same page or different pages? Thanks

Hi I am in the process of implementing Tag Manager across one of the sites that I manage. But it is a very large site so we have taken the decision to implement it on a number of important pages first and then update the rest of the site incrementally. The pages that we have chosen to implement GTM on are confirmation pages as we use double click floodlight tags to track a lot of our conversions. However when I go into debug mode on tag manager I can not seem to get the screen that lets you know if the tag is firing or not. Has anyone else had this problem? Could this be because I don't have GTM code on the homepage of the site? When I implemented Tag manager on other sites that I managed I had no such problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I manage a Wordpress site and I am interested to get the community's views on the best SEO plug-ins around? We are looking at using Yoast. Should I be looking at anything else?

One of my pages is a help and questions page about completing a conversions and the other is the actual campaign landing page. They are both ranking for the same term. While the subject of both pages is similar the content is not. Is the rel canonical tag appropriate here?
