Hi Propertyhunter,
I recommend that you only approve pingbacks from websites you trust. Use SEOmoz tools to determine a site's Mozrank/Domain Authority, and I agree that you should delete pingbacks from your own domain. Using a related pages plugin is a better choice for inter-linking your content.
Hope this helps!
Chris
I think that both of these tools are mutually exclusive. It does not take into consideration that a page blocked to spiders won't count against you in terms of duplicate content, but maybe it should!
I agree 100% with Matt. I would also recommend checking your internal links to ensure that they are all following the same format with or without the /.
Hi FinalFrontier,
I agree with setting up a 301 redirect to a single version. I also recommend doing the following:
Best of luck!

Even Google's own back link tool is slow/inaccurate. I recommend using software like SEOmoz's Open Site Explorer, Ahrefs.com or MajesticSEO to get more up-to-date link data. We actually use all 3.
Be sure to include your target keywords in important places: page title, headings, file names (such as images), strong text and paragraph text. I would also do some research into what related terms you should have in posts that Google may use to categorize your posts. Please see this post for details.
I agree with Eric and check out this research: http://cbutterworth.com/do-h1-tags-still-help-seo/
Does the client have an image on the site that matches the phrase? If a query pops the image results snippet within organic results, you may see traffic from a term that you rank for within image search, but not organic.
Hi, Like the robots declaration in the head section of a website (index, follow, etc.), Google should use the latest version of the rel tags to makes its decision to pass PageRank or not. The next time a page is crawled, if the rel="nofollow" was removed, Google should count the external link in its calculation of weight for the intended site. In plain English, the link should be counted and you'll get your juice. Chris

1/16/2013 In order for agencies and outside SEO consultants to excel under the current conditions we need to become more like employees and less like vendors. But how?
I work with an amazing team of consultants, marketers and clients. I'm proud to be a part of such a dynamic and friendly industry.
Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
