Crawl completed but still says meta description missing
Before the last crawl I went through and made sure all meta descriptions were not missing. However, from the last crawl on the 26th July, it still has the same pages on the list and showed they were crawled as well?
Any ideas on why they may still be showing as missing?

RE: Duplicate Page Content
So they might look at this page: http://www.hihh.com.au/property-details?hihhpropertyId=HCP006&checkin=2013-08-06&checkout=2013-08-09&search=checkindate%3D2013-08-06%26checkoutdate%3D2013-08-09
Then the same page would come up on the error list but with different dates.

RE: Duplicate Page Content
Its basically all seperate pages/URL's with different information on each. However it seems to be crawled for each possible range of that page. e.g for check in/check out dates. It will search a range of dates and think that each page has different information. However, its all exactly the same.

Duplicate Page Content
Hi there,
We keep getting duplicate page content issues. However, its not actually the same page.
E.G - There might be 5 pages in say a Media Release section of the website. And each URL says page 1, 2 etc etc. However, its still coming up as duplicate. How can this be fixed so Moz knows its actually different content? -
RE: A question for Google Adwords experts
Hi James, We have trademarked "qualia", which is our ultra luxury resort on Hamilton Island. If you google it, there will be no ads because our ads aren't showing and no one else can bid on that word. So instead of serving our ad for 1 cent, Google aren't serving anything at all. I'm guessing that they might do this because otherwise companies that own trademarks would all be paying 1 cent for their ads and Google wouldn't make as much. E.g. Only Volkswagen can advertise on the keyword "volkswagen" but i'm guessing that Google wouldn't want them to be paying 1 cent for that keyword when they could be paying 60c. However, Google don't mention the amount of your bid as being a factor in deciding whether or not to serve your ad... Do you know what the best way is to find the amount where i'm paying as little as possible but my ad is being served as much as possible? Cheers.

RE: A question for Google Adwords experts
Hi Mike,
No, there are no other ads being served because we own that trademark. The problem is that right now, no ads are being served and i'm worried that this is because we've dropped the bids by so much.
Will Google show ads more if you bid a higher amount for them? E.g. Google might serve an ad 100 times a day at $1 and 150 times a day at $2? And if so, how can i find the equilibrium where i'm paying as little as possible but my ad is being served as much as possible?
Thanks in advance!

A question for Google Adwords experts
Hi Google Adwords experts,
We own the trademarks to some keywords. When you search for these keywords, only our ads will ever appear but they don't appear every time a search is made. They're hardly ever appearing now that we've dropped our bid from $1+ to the minimum first page bid (1 cent in some cases).
My question is; are the ads showing less because our bid has dropped so low? If so, why is this? If we own the trademark to the keyword and no one else can display ads, any bid that we submit should be accepted by Google, shouldn't it?
If you can include a link to any articles that will give me more info, i'll vote for your answer.
Thanks!

Facebook Check-In Changes
Can someone please direct me to a good article on how the recent facebook changes to how check ins are calculated affect SEO? Or even give me an explanation here?

Should you try to rank for misspelled keywords?
Hi there,
2 part question:
- Is it best practice to try to rank for misspelled keywords that bring in lots of traffic or should you instead just try to rank for the correct spelling of that keyword and hope that you rank better on the misspelling as an indirect result?
E.G. The misspelled keyword "Hamilton island accomodation" is a common misspelling that brings in traffic but we have an "F" rank for that term (obviously because we spell accommodation correctly on our site). We don't want to misspell anything but are there techniques to rank better for misspellings that won't hurt content quality?
- The On-Page Optimization tool says that our website doesn't rank in the top 50 on Google Aus for "Accomodation Hamilton Island" or "Hamilton Island Accomodation" but when i do a manual search, we actually are the first result. Is this an error with the On-Page optimization tool?
Thanks!

If you rank first organically for a keyword, will you rank first for variations?
Hi everyone,
Hoping that someone will be able to answer this question for us.
If we rank first organically for a keyword, are we safe to assume that we'll rank first (or close to it) for variations of that keyword as well?
E.g. If we rank first easily for "Hamilton Island", can we safely assume that we will rank well organically for close variations of that keyword such as "Hamilton Islands", "Hamiltonisland", "Hamilton Island Hotel" due to the fact that "Hamilton Island" is in those keywords?
We're deciding which keywords to monitor in SEOmoz and we don't want to waste keywords on very similar terms if we don't have to.
Really appreciate any responses!
Cheers.
