Does Google Still support Hyphened Domains for Exact Match or not?
For Example:
www.my-key-word.com this domain is exact match for "my keyword" or not??
Ok done this via this wordpress plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-safely-disable-directory-browsing/
Thanks Alex and others.
Thanks Alex, you've understood my problem, what if I just noindex that directory in my robots.txt file? is it gonna work or not?
I've heard that a blog's has a deep relation with content keywords available in WMT, my WMT is showing top content keyword "PNG" and it's because of images available in my posts. also the images sizes like 150x150 is also in my content keyword.
Should I noindex my images? or is there any other solution to handle this issue?
Ok! Got the answer, Simply disavow that 301 redirect. I think it will work.
I've found the way to identify that who is redirecting a bad repute domain to your's. You can simple check this out via moz pro's Backlinks checker under the option of "301 only".
Now the question is, if someone has redirected a bad domain to mine, what can I do then?
Simply file a DMCA complaint and their results from SERPS will be removed. It will not help you much if you ask them to add a credit link or something else.
Moreover, if there are just 2 to 3 scrapper sites then first ask them to remove your content from their sites, mostly wouldn't reply if they are earning much from that scrapped content. If they don't reply then file a DMCA complaint.
I think DMCA is the best option, I've seen ever.
I think nobody will link you back with a parked domain with zero content.
If you've enough time to verify each subdomain in WMT and also removing 400+ domains one by one, then you can go for solution 2. You can't remove subdomain from verified WMT account of main domain, that's why you need to verify each domain.
Adding canonical is a better option, it wouldn't remove all of the demo domains from Google's index rapidly, you have to wait for few months, but you'll be on the safe side.
Just use H1 one time, matt cutts said in a video that he would like to see only 1 H1 tag on a page.
Create content for better user experience, use headings just for your readers, and don't follow these on page tactics very much. Now everyone knows these techniques, and I don't think Google gives higher weight to these things.
Create content for readers
Use H1 as your Page's Heading(Just one time)
Use H2 where you think it's essential
I've searched your indexed pages in Google search and I don't see any tags indexed in Google. I think SEMrush's crawler doesn't count the noindex tags in the page, and it only counts the duplicate pages.
Search it in google: site:www.srgservices.com and tell me if you find any tags' pages indexed.
Can you please provide URL of your website?
Solution 1:
Add robots.txt on all demo domains and block them, or add noindex in their header.
Solution 2: Verify each domain in webmaster tools and remove it entirely from the link removal section ( I wouldn't recommend this).
Solution 3:
If your both domains like agency1.domain.com and demo.agency1.domain.com have same coding and are clone then you should just add canonical url to the agency1.domain.com and canonical will be http://agency.domain.com/ it will work if it will be automatically shown in the demo domain. if it doesn't show up in the demo domain automatically then add the same canonical to the demo domain.
It will take some time to deindexed from serps, but it will surely work. I've faced the same kind of situation in past.
If you're using Wordpress SEO by yoast then simply go to its settings> Titles & Metas> under the tab of Taxanomies check the radio button of "noindex, follow". see the image:
and if you're not using it then simply add this to your robots.txt file:
Disallow: /tag/
check out this one for sample: http://backlinko.com/robots.txt
I've a technical question ,
For example site A was penalized by google updates, panda and penguin both and site b is in the same niche and it's running good and never been penalized by updates.
If I redirect site A to Site B with 301 status code(permanent redirect), will Google penalize the site B too? because penalties travel from old domain to new one as per google's algorithms.
And If yes then how can I stop my competitor from removing redirection of penalized domain to mine?
But What should be the plan for changing the theme? I'm not a dev, nor a designer and only use premium Wordpress themes for my blog.
I've noticed that when I change my blog's template the traffic goes down dramatically, about of 40% decrease. I know that new themes can have some problems but I have tried this with 2 different themes. First try was with genesis framework(Paid one) and just in one day traffic went down and when I reverted the old theme, the traffic became normal.
Should I wait for 1 week to see what happens?
What could be the potential reason of this?
I've heard that Google is now indexing links and stuff available in javascript and jquery. My webmastertools is showing that some links are blocked in robots.txt of jquery.
Sorry I'm not a developer or designer. I want to know is there any impact of this on my SEO? and also how can I unblock it for the robots?

I'm going through the same kind of situation these days. The client I'm providing SEO services was ranking on the 4th page in the serps. The website was having 8k duplicate pages because of www and non-www issue. I just added the canonical tag in the preferred domain and waiting for Google to deindex the non preferred domain.
But I've also noticed that just after creating 14 backlinks on authority sites, the site is ranking on first page in 5 different keywords.
I don't see any down in backlinks in WMT, I'm not sure but I think Google doesn't cut down backlinks due to duplicate pages. Wait for any senior to reply to your question.
you can use rankaware, it's free for one year. I'm using moz pro and rankaware both for checking my keywords' ranking. Also rankaware will provide you PDF report of your keywords. Use the below key and add unlimited websites in the list.

I'm confused about PageRank flow inside a domain.. Please provide me with an well explained guide about flow of Pagerank as I know, i think it flows from homapage to internal pages and then internal pages to homepage. I think I'm wrong.
Also, every page has its own PR, if I give backlinks to external website from my internal pages, is it going to impact the homepage's pr and authority?
Highly confused..
I know my question looks so basic but let me explain what I want. I want advanced on-page SEO guides, should include something new exce[t the below listed things:

I'm new in SEO and heard by one of my friend that social signals are important for SEO of a website. If people have shared a website's url on their twitter, then it will automatically get rank in google. Is that true and how google sees this social sharing? and how can I do this for my website?
