Enabling Podcast for Search / Structured Data
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a podcast to show up in search using these guidelines and need help identifying which code to use per these instructions.
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/podcast
Out of this, we put the following code inside the header tag of a designated podcast page, and it doesn't seem to be rendering properly when I test it.
For this podcast home page:
https://www.thepitchqueen.com/podcast-success-unfiltered/
href="http://successunfiltered.libsyn.com/rss"/> <title>Success Unfiltered Podcast</title>Any ideas about what to do? Or if this is correct, let me know?

What is the recommended canonical variation for a website now migrated to Https:?
We recently migrated our site to HTTPS:? In the past, we went with http://www.
What is the recommended canonical variation corresponding to these changes?
- http://
- http://www.
- https://
- https://www.
Thank you!

Redirecting https pages
If I add 301 redirects from the https versions of the root domain to the http:www.website.com (canonical version), will this prevent users from being able to access the https version? I believe the https version is only accessed once users log into the site.
Thank you!

RE: How much does domain age play a part today?
Thank you so much for your response. It may be limiting to them in some ways for marketing, but its also a beneficial change as well. I think if domain age isn't going to play too much of a part, then all the other factors still justify the change.
Thanks again!

Thank you everyone! As with anything there are two sides to ponder.

How much does domain age play a part today?
My specific reason for asking this is due to the need to consolidate two of my client's websites into one main umbrella. The two websites now are duplicating content between each other. They are essentially the same business with two locations. The goal is to have one website to build authority on, reduce management/maintenance time and eliminate the duplicate content issues.
In doing so, we will need to use a completely different domain name for branding reasons. I'm concerned that this may hurt us due to it being a brand new domain name. With the current websites, one domain is 8 years old and the other 2 years old.

How much does a keyword focused domain matter today?
Is it still better to choose a keyword focused domain lets say over a branded domain in today's world? How much of a part does that have in the grand scheme of things?

RE: Issue with Robots.txt file blocking meta description
Paul,
Thanks... you hit upon my hunch, that we will just have to wait.
Much of the information in the SERPs (metadescriptions, titles and urls) are still old, even though they redirect to the new pages when I click.
Thanks for the tip... and about social media.
Do you think it will help to get the rel=publisher link to the Google+ page on the site?

Domain Forwarding Implications
Hi,
I am working with a client who is planning to rebrand the company and set up a new domain. What is the best way to maximize and pass the authority from the existing sites (there are 2)? Each site already has many inbound links and have been around for a while.
- Should I set up 301 redirects for all of the pages?
- Should I set up domain forwarding?
If I do this, what are the implications from an SEO perspective?
Please advise.
Thank you,
Erin

Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
